This song is an EXTREMELY POWERFUL story. EVERY TIME I hear it, it transforms me into another world. The lyrics and the pain in the performance to reflect the words is something else. Extremely emotional. Unfortunately the translation doesn’t do it Justice and takes away from its power. Only Arabs (who speaks Arabic as their first language) can FEEL and understand the lyrics and their power. Something completely different and on a whole different lever. My heart races and get goosebumps every time I hear this song. Truly amazing.

I will try to explain to you what "The human without sorrow is a memory of himself" The meaning is that the sadness and the sorrow make the person feel he exist. Without the sorrow, you feel like you come and go without anything because the happiness will last and affect your feeling for how long? a minute or so, but the sadness affects your soul deeply and make you have some real experience in this life. I am not sure if memory is the right choice in this sentence I mean in the translation.

I think the intended meaning of the song is that suffering and pain have the greatest impact in our hearts and souls and it is the result of our life experiences, and Without it a person’s life would be superficial without real meaning.

Before your channel, I basically listened to his most popular and memorable song "Fawq el Nakhl" (فوق النخل) an immensely well known song throughout the Arab World from the amazing Nazem al Ghazali. But your choices are magnificent I must say. But probably فوق النخل will remain his most famous song. The song was done by many other artists besides Nazem al Ghazali (the original amazing singer), like George Wassouf, or Ilham Madfa'i and tens of artists from all over the Arab World.
