In arabic poetry “him” means “her” when its a male singing. He is singing about a girl betraying him.

True! In Arabic sometimes in songs especially we refer to the female by him! For example, a male often sings (Habibi) not (Habibti)

This song from his movie jay. The story of the film is that Abdel Halim is a poor young man who works in acting, but his luck is bad because he takes short roles. He loves a famous actress and the day comes when he will stand in front of her on the stage and tell her words of love as written in the script, and she will know that he loves her very much and she also loves him. The love relationship between them begins until evil people set up a trap to make the actress stay away from him, then Abdel Halim begins to sing songs of sadness and reproach for her until he becomes a famous singer and in the world the truth is revealed and that she is wrong and they return to each other

I think there is a misconception about Halim having a strong voice. His voice was never characterized as strong although he could sing high tones. He was mostly known about making male singing more romantic more simple pronouncing the words so everybody could sing it, like a predecessor of Amr Diab. He was a genius who simplified arab music who before he arrived was about long words and where male men had to sing in a certain way he, simplified it so today almost all arab male singers have soft voices.

@@gabermostafa4932 True, but that does’nt mean a strong voice. By “any composition” Abdelwahab mean that Halim was a genius in making any song his own. His voice was very simple but bird like, very enjoyable and sensational. But he did not have a strong voice, he is the reasons why Amr Diab and Hany Shaker exists, because before Halim such “weak” voices were not giving any chance. Hany Shaker himself said “I never knew I could sing untill I heard Halim”. That means his voice type had no chance if it was’nt for Halim who “forced” people to listen to a soft male voice.

Wow I didn't even notice that! You are absolutely right.
Long videos are more difficult to edit and record than the short ones, and my Camera stops working when it overheats! I should buy a better camera but it is expensive and because of that I am trying to deal with the one one that I have now. Maybe that is why I am concerned about the length of the video. And sometimes people are complaining about the length of the video and they say that it is boring to watch all of it! So I just wanna give a heads up to those viewers 🙂

It’s the girl who destroyed the guy in love story of this movie. But, they kept loving each other through out the movie. It also has a very happy ending. Watched it multiple times. Love it.
Halim is one of a kind person with endless talents. He’s alive alive now and for ever. He gave his life for his craft. Love you always Halim🤗😘💗😍💕

GABAR finally, yes it was already a part of a movie, you'd better watch the original video ..He was singing this to Shadia , who made with Abdel Halim amazing duos.. Surprisingly, Shadia started her career way before Abdel Halim, and his biggest dream was to sing with her someday, and finally did it..creating one of the most adorable duos in the Arab music..

The song is from a movie . And Halim ( his nickname) was just like a spark plug that ignited the imagination of his contemporary song writers and composers , so every song of his is an Arabic musical masterpiece.

always I thanking god because I know arabic, it’s my mother tongue, really guys the words are very very very meaningful, when i read the translation it’s not giving even 10 percent of the original meaning, the arabic language is very rich and beautiful, when i read Quran or read a poem, or listening to a music such as this song, just I closing my eyes and I imagine myself in the space between the stars. I don’t think so there is a language or words deeps like Arabic

Jabbar related to powerful, great, huge, tremendous. Briefly related to being so high or glorifying someone in general or someone in specific things
So yeah it can be linked to cruelty, someone who is Jabbar he is so strong so he can be merciless and put all under his feet
But someone can be Jabbar also in different things, in physical power, in poetry abilities etc
Here it was used the word formidable because they know the context of the song. He says that his lover is powerful, amazing, so great in gentleness and in cruelty (قسوته).

Jabar It means very tough or very strong that's how we can describe it! Like a rock or a steadfast mountain, the wind cannot bring it down! In fact, the Arabic language is full of different words, so we Arabs must study and learn more to understand them and know their true meaning! It's beyond our comprehension! So it is difficult for a foreigner to deal with it! It's so deep!!!!!!!

Listen to his song Mawood (موعود)
Abdel halim was very sick and his doctors advised him not to sing in concerts anymore because it will be so fatal for his health. Otherwise he said that art is his life he can’t live without it. So he continued performing with so much emotions than ever he did and you could see his tiredness and paleness and sometimes he will pass out after it and transferred to hospital and stays for weeks for recovery and then he continues to perform despite his health complications. One of those concerts is Mawood موعود see this concert. His strong voice, commitment and feelings were facing his weak body. I cry every time seeing it. Btw Abdul halim is my favorite male singer ❤️ and Fairouz is my favorite female singer ❤️ Love from Egypt 🇪🇬

@@Khaled4life yes that part too it breaks my heart. It is so hugethat this is literally what he felt in his personal life from years before this song was created and we see him explore these feelings all over again live in front of us in this concert like he puts part of his soul in this performance and we got lucky that this moments are recorded for us after many decades to see it. True he is such a legendary artist❤️
