the change in direction is because you are going around faster than your fps, so you are still technically going the same direction, but it looks flipped because of when the game 'takes a picture' You can see the same effect on car/bike wheels - try flipping a bike upside down and pedalling so you can control the speed, you should see the same sort of effect
I'm not so sure. It should have looked like it was in two places at once long before it started going backwards. I think it's just something weird with the mod.
The monorails don’t have models for sharper turns that look good, because the normal train tracks automatically calculate it, yet the monorails don’t have stretched models.

ok, so monorail trains are just objectively better than regular trains i just discovered, they can go so much lower to the ground and the trains can either hang off the bottom or ride on top of the track.
