These challenges are actually really good, it's really cool to watch this from the perspective of the person who did the challenges and see how he approached it. Great video as always!

Fear and not knowing what to NAME my business keeps me stuck.
After hours of brainstorming, then finally landing on a concise name (that also has alliteration to stick more… 😉) I then do research to see if it’s already taken, and of course when it is: discouraged all over again. I can’t register an LLC and start designing the branding/digital assets and content until it has a fricking NAME!
    😫
It’s so easy for me to come up with a clever name for everyone else’s idea except mine… Why is this?! THIS is a massive problem to be solved. 🤔
    How to name a business.

Hi Noah! Thanks for sharing. I've been thinking about some of these challenges ever since you started mentioning it in the Office hours live stream. I juggled with the ideas in my mind to evaluate wether doing these could really help me or not - and I came to the conclusion that they are not for me. I'm sharing because it may be a good idea for a video, if other people related to this as well.
I'm an introvert. Even though I tend to remain in the shadows of my thoughts most of the time, I can be a good extrovert as well. Being so, I don't really fear rejection or being judged by other people. I stand up when I feel the need to, regardless of what happens next.
However, there is indeed one fear that I think keeps me away from succeeding in creating a business, or even trying. I don't know if I'm being harsh with myself and exaggerating a little or if this is 100% true. Most of the time I feel like I'm only half-ass trying to do a good job at this. And half 50% trying results in like 10% achieving.
All of this is because of overthinking and overanalysing. I guess somewhere inside I feel like I'm not the kind of person that would DO EVERYTHING THE WAY IT SHOULD BE DONE. So I end up overthinking things. Big tasks turn into many small tasks. Small tasks become massively complex due to overthinking and perfectionism. In the end, this results into 90% thinking and 10% doing. Also, focusing on everything micro makes me lose my overall vision. This is probably a lack of confidence - not sure if it's because I tried other business ideas in the past and failed or if this is just who I am, but it's something I'm working on.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this some time.
    Take care,
    Robert

      I get it broo.
I am actually a BIG introvert myself. A lot of the raw footage of me doing the challenge was edited out so it may have not come across that way.
You mentioned you don't fear rejection or being judged by other people. Great! Then why do you overthink? Are you just afraid of failure?
Here is an awesome quote by Alex Banayan: “I’d always seen success and failure as opposites, but now I could see they were just different results of the same thing-trying. I swore to myself that from now on I would be unattached to succeeding, and unattached to failing. Instead, I would be attached to trying, to growing.”
You seem like a good dude, so hit me up on Twitter or LinkedIn if you ever wanna chat.

@@g7chu Hi George, thanks for the reply!
I appreciated seeing you doing these challenges - big congrats on that, you're doing a great job!
Here's why I don't think they work for me. I'm good at being an extrovert - I do it all of the time at work, in presentations and meetings, even in my personal life, even though I tend to be more laid back when I'm handling my own time. When I do this, I kind of feel like I take a step outside of myself and I can do it. Somehow, it doesn't feel like me, but like I learned that behaviour through years of observation and I just apply it. Everytime when I do this, it doesn't feel like I'm the one that actually does it. It's as though the people I learned this from apply it through me. In a way, my mental space just ignores or fails to acknowledge me doing anything.
You got it right, it's not a fear of rejection, it's a fear or failure, and even though it's business, I think this fear of failure is not related to business, but is angled towards fear of failing myself. I think this is basically lack of confidence.
I can acknowledge rationally that failure and success go hand in hand - I even noticed this through my work. I'm an online advertiser specializing in Google Ads / Facebook Ads / Linkedin and a bunch of other platforms. When I jumped into this space at the beginning I failed massively, and then I failed some more. One of my managers told me to "fail faster" in order to succeed. When I moved on to another company, I took his advice and tried a bunch of new things, took more fails, adapted and drove some good growth for myself.
I guess somehow I'm just fearful that when I move to my own management, I won't have what it takes to make it. Like there's a Mad Men picture of a David Oglivy-esque figure in my mind saying "You're not me and can't be me, you don't have what it takes and you'll end up losing all you've built so far".
I think that's because through my career, I've been able to meet a few marketers that make everything click really fast. They are able to instantaneously come up with good ideas here and now - not only service side, but also client-wise, they know what people to move and how to do it efficiently. They would be able to turn a good business into a big success and manage you in a way that could make you feel as though you're the most important client they have. It seems like they've been born to do this. I'm not there, at least not now, so I just feel small, even though I did have some good amount of success both at work and with private clients.
Because I place that extroverted drive outside myself, I don't feel as though that success belongs to me. When I get a new client, I even think to myself "they must not know what they're doing for working with me", even though most of the time I do deliver the expected results.
I'm taking some psychological therapy on these issues right now. Though I'm only at the beginning of it all and nothing changed, I do hope to see some results over the next few months.
Anyway, thanks for reaching out, George! I genuinely appreciated you taking interest. I've added you to my Linkedin.
Have a great week and good luck!

Can you make a video about why the people who invented the technologies that changed the world (like the internet) never got rich.
So many tech founders say things like “I’m not doing this for money. I want to follow my passion and change the world.”
If that’s the case, why aren’t they working at a university research lab inventing world-changing technology?
Would love your take on all this virtue signaling b.s that seems to be taking the tech industry by storm.
