Suits delves into the fast-paced, high-stakes world of a top Manhattan corporate law firm where hotshot associate Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht, “Love & Other Drugs”) makes a risky move by hiring Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams, “Old School”) a brilliant but unmotivated college dropout, as his associate. As he becomes enmeshed in this unfamiliar world, Mike relies heavily on the firm’s best paralegal Rachel (Megan Markle, “Horrible Bosses”) and Harvey's no-nonsense assistant Donna (Sarah Rafferty, “Brothers & Sisters”) to help him serve justice. With a photographic memory and the street smarts of a hustler, Mike proves to be a legal prodigy despite the absence of bonafide legal credentials.

You can tell that the response Harvey gave Mike about taking the job offer, wasnt what he actually wanted to tell him, but rather the best thing he can advise him. It wasnt what he wanted, but it was the best option for Mike. Thats real loyalty
The problem is that Mike could tell Harvey didn't want him to take the job. The way you say something is more important than the actual words and he was telling Mike not to take the job. Obviously for the story it was necessary but that's not loyalty, but selfishness.
@@jmhorange your conclusion of him saying "don't take the job" is wrong imo, i see it as him not wanting him to take the job but still gives the best advice which is to take it. So it's actually the opposite of selfishness. Clearly harvey doesn't want mike to take the job but that doesn't mean he in other words told him not to take it.
@@ia3423 which is real loyalty. People who gives you the best advice for the best for yourself. Harvey does not want Mike to leave and Mike doesnt want to leave, but he probably should.
@@ia3423 No he definitely told him not to take it, but just the way he said it and his body language did not match what he said. Harvey is his mentor, but in all honesty, his response in that moment came off as childish and selfish, like Mike was doing something to hurt him. Like Mike walked in very unsure of what he was doing and was looking for his mentor to give him advice...and he left very unsure of what he was doing and then committed a crime to stay haha.
@@ia3423 Also I should be clear, in no way am I criticizing the show. As an animator, it's really fun to have a character say something with their mouth but have the rest of his body say clearly something else.
Lol

Fine, I’ll rewatch suits
I win that's what i do
- Harvey Spectror
"I MAKE MY OWN LUCK".
Harvey is a badass
Harvey is one of the most Alpha character ever portrayed on screen. I mean like top 5. EVER!
Who thinks Harvey did the right thing by hiring Mike?
should've hired him as a paralegal smh
Should've hired him as a consultant or something.
@@yinhuili paralegal works fine. Then he can also pursue law along rachel
Should have hired him as a janitor 😂
Weirdly enough, New York is a state where you don't actually need to finish law school. You just need to pass the Bar Exam to be a lawyer.
That said, it does require a few conditions to be allowed to take it, but honestly, if he can pass the exam without any additional help and on his brilliance alone, it wouldn't be that hard, I'd imagine, to get special waivers to allow some form of apprenticeship for his work.
Honestly, the show picked a strange state to do this in. Still an awesome show.
Two Harvey’s made their own luck
What makes this show great is something hanging over someone's head. When Mike became legit the show would have been really difficult for writers to carry forward but they did it amazingly well. I hope they can find something for a reboot with Harvey and Mike fighting against the top greedy people.
doesn't mike leave shortly after he becomes apart of the bar officially?
@@randomt800kiddo2 I think he stayed for 1 more season then left. TBH the show wasn't the same when he became legit.
Me am investment banker!😢
How did Harvey figure out that James is a gambler?
He was winning lawsuits but was still on debt. That is obviously a gambler
@@Memooooooooooothis, and the fact that he didn’t take an offer that would eliminate his debts. The only reason he’d really do that is if he knew he’d be in debt soon again. Usually a sign someone’s a gambler.
