It's funny and true at the same time, because for Luis even yelling at someone is him putting investment into that person, shaping them to be better and do more. Going from that to not being cared about is rough. When I was in Marine Corps boot camp, I got injured and was sent to the recovery platoon. During the few days before I actually moved, the DIs didn't yell at me for anything because I wasn't in training anymore. While I didn't really enjoy getting yelled at, it hurt more that I was no longer training to become a Marine. They still cared about me, though. As soon as I passed the crucible with my second training company I found my old DIs and we celebrated a little.

I think it would've been awesome for Harold to somehow transform into this badass Lawyer and demolish Louis. Not that I dislike Louis per say. But some people learn differently, and Harold obviously doesn't learn well when mentored by a bully. Let's say he gets a job at a different firm, finds a more compassionate mentor and breaks down his barriers. It would have made Louis a lot more humble as a result and showed what happens when you take a different approach to learning. Not to mention, real Lawyers don't act that way. The average case isn't decided because one Lawyer doesn't want to work on a case for a long time or commit a lot of resources to it.
