@@shoto42 yeah bullets don't work like that XD you shoot lead from the casings. you can reuse the casings in some cases but the lead part is pretty much ruined once shot.

If it has potential for a market though without that foreign competition it will get picked up by U.S. producers. The biggest problem is that ammo consumption and hoarding is outpacing producers atm. Both civilian and military is wanting to buy large quantities.

And he laughed and just handed to me. I went on prone position, took a shot at the white one as the other one bluish couldn’t see him clearly. Bang and it hit him directly. Until now none of us could believe such a long shot can be made with no scopes, just a bead . Unfortunately those kinda toys are not legal where I live now otherwise I would pay as much as they ask for .

The RPK doesn't really have a much longer effective range from an AK. Bit more more precise when it's brand new, but the lengthening of the barrel probably helps more with bore erosion near the muzzle.

Favorite gun. They come with lots of extras.. Like one of the rivets on the left side. The flip up iron sight that will fall off.. The cleaning rod under the barrel.. and the dust cover. All extra. Haha such a good gun though!! I hope the 50. Gets dressed up like an RPK.

For anyone wondering the lovely watch he’s wearing is an Invicta pro diver,, NH35 movement,, water resistant to 200m,, stainless steel with lots of room to change metal and face colours and relatively inexpensive as to not break the bank,, definitely not the best watch on the market as far as functionality(movement) but it makes up for it by being a tough yet all round nice looking watch for a great value for money,, wore one for about 5 years would recommend

Some parts of that gun are inaccurate: spring must be like twisted pair - it was done for better sustainability. At least my service RPK-74 (which was made in 1987, BTW) has such spring, and other machine gunners in my company has the same (old) guns with twisted-pair-springs. Great gun, love it, because in sentry I was able to put this gun on the ground, and not carry it on shoulder, like regular AK-74. For Russian army, all you need to do for make your life easier - is just to now regulations. And, well, it’s a good LMG (MOUNTED AND LOADED) all-around, pleasant to shoot and quite accurate.
I’d absolutely love to see a video of the “Swedish K” if you ever got the opportunity to get one, since it’s a very unique and funky looking gun with some history to it
When I served in the Russian army, it was my favorite weapon, it is written in my military ticket. A great machine gun and you made a great UPGRADE for it!!! You need live in Izhevsk!:)))
From what I’m tracking, the main weakness of the RPK-74 is that the barrel is too long for the cartridge e.g. the powder charge burns completely before the bullet leaves the barrel, meaning you lose velocity from the bullet needing to overcome the rifling before it leaves the muzzle. This ends up reducing velocity and reducing range. Of course, all of this is about to be a moot point, since the 5.45 supply is about to completely dry up.
I personally believe that the "white claw penetration test" should be done with the white claw on its side rather than standing up. You know like its scared and tried to lay down to reduce its exposed area. More penetration = More better.
Russian soldiers were (Can't say how it goes these days) taught to fire the AK in two round bursts unless engaging low altitude flier (In which case you go full auto till you are dry). AN-94 is just same idea being taken to extremes.
I bought an overpriced AK-74 a month ago so I could target practice with cheap ammo because of all the affordable 5.45x39mm on the shelf at my local gun store. Thanks to our benevolent and wise overlords I won't be having anymore fun. Really glad about my purchase

For anyone wondering the lovely watch he’s wearing is an Invicta pro diver,, NH35 movement,, water resistant to 200m,, stainless steel with lots of room to change metal and face colours and relatively inexpensive as to not break the bank,, definitely not the best watch on the market as far as functionality(movement) but it makes up for it by being a tough yet all round nice looking watch for a great value for money,, wore one for about 5 years would recommend

Some parts of that gun are inaccurate: spring must be like twisted pair - it was done for better sustainability. At least my service RPK-74 (which was made in 1987, BTW) has such spring, and other machine gunners in my company has the same (old) guns with twisted-pair-springs.
Great gun, love it, because in sentry I was able to put this gun on the ground, and not carry it on shoulder, like regular AK-74. For Russian army, all you need to do for make your life easier - is just to now regulations.
And, well, it’s a good LMG (MOUNTED AND LOADED) all-around, pleasant to shoot and quite accurate.

From what I’m tracking, the main weakness of the RPK-74 is that the barrel is too long for the cartridge e.g. the powder charge burns completely before the bullet leaves the barrel, meaning you lose velocity from the bullet needing to overcome the rifling before it leaves the muzzle. This ends up reducing velocity and reducing range. Of course, all of this is about to be a moot point, since the 5.45 supply is about to completely dry up.
You don't lose velocity, you gain 250 fps over the 16 inch barrel. Roughly translates to an additional 200 meters of effective range

I always loved the slower cyclical rate and controllability of Russian guns. It is almost like they want to hit their targets.
Russian soldiers were (Can't say how it goes these days) taught to fire the AK in two round bursts unless engaging low altitude flier (In which case you go full auto till you are dry).
AN-94 is just same idea being taken to extremes.

I bought an overpriced AK-74 a month ago so I could target practice with cheap ammo because of all the affordable 5.45x39mm on the shelf at my local gun store. Thanks to our benevolent and wise overlords I won't be having anymore fun. Really glad about my purchase
