Nice Review Boss!!! I can confirm that a Sabrent USB 3.0 Hub will work in the back port as I have a Cyberpower UPS connected for smart shutdown management and also have a 16TB FANTOM backup drive connected. The Cyberpower UPS is "special" as it generates a PURE SINE WAVE and *not* a noisy modified sine wave!!! I settled on the TEAMGROUP brand of RAM and M.2 SSD as it had excellent Amazon reviews and was VERY reasonably priced!!! And I just couldn't set up this NAS without installing a Lifetime License of PLEX!!! Just a note that I came from a Western Digital MYCLOUD appliance that was antiquated and kludgy... ASUSTOR blows WD MYCLOUD *OUT OF THE WATER!!!*
Very helpful video...I currently have the previous model with 2 harddrives as a RAID1...but wanted to add 2 more drives to do Raid 5. Will it allows me to initialize the 2 new drives without wiping out my already installed drives, thanks!
hi, I would need your help with my NAS story. A long story short, I was looking for a nas solution for my home and I was indicated the nimbustore4 - I looked a bit for it and saw that it usually has nvme slots, so I can optimise it. Unfortunately they considered I dont need smthg like this so I bought gen one not gen2, not knowing that there are two identically looking but with or without nvme slots. Now my system is doing copy for the 3rd day in a row... It is bought last week from amazon. What can I do to repair a situation likt this? buy a new nimbus 2 gen2 for ex to cut expenses? sync them one to the other? Write to Asustor directly to try a solution with them? Probably they would have the module to stich it into the gen1 to make it gen 2 ? I-m kinda stuck as all my databases are in the process of transfer. Thanks in advance, Marius.
Awesome review! Thank you ☺️
Thx for the vid RJ nice one
well you just helped me make my decision on my next home lap purchase.

It seems to have a good number of applications and the additional SSDs is a real bonus for a four drive system.

Look good do you recommend any 6 x NVME M.2 enclosure with 10gig for NAS..
Have I missed the max total storage capacity? Per storage type in each desk size & Nvme M.2

Minor Correction - Intel (if you read the "?" in their spec sheet) is saying it is 16Gb "per channel", so with 2 channels it is 32Gb max.
Looks robust and the 4 M.2 are just tempting.
What good is 4 NVME slots with a 2.5G connector? NVME's can do up to 6000 MB/s but 2.5G ethernet is capped around 260 MB/s... am I missing something?
IT depends on PCIe generation and how many lanes you can use... With N5105 CPU every M.2 will do lower performance than NVMe PCIe3 disc...
As mentioned, people really should use 2 8GB matched RAM sticks.. In General, unmatched RAM will give you some "quirks"...
Wondering if I can attach a USB 4K UHD drive and rip movies to this.
