He played the whole tournament so well. And even this match. Had he drawn, he would probably win the tournament. One move changed everything. Man, chess is truly brutal.

Great player Aaron, time will give him more honours.. huff. He played a toy of an opening ( risky, may be he knows the board and pieces, upside down-- i dont like the opening though, Q*d4) and have to pay price defending through out. Lesson for every chess aspirant out there.
And today Nodirbek defended a lost queen endgame for 3 hours agains Shirov, at one point the evaluation had an M in it but in the end he drew it. Man does not give up, and luck goes his way most of the time.

First time ever Nodirbek Abdusattorov beats Arjun Erigaisi with white pieces everytime he had beaten Arjun Erigaisi with black and with with either he used to lost or hold to a draw but this is the first time ever he Beats Arjun with white pieces congratulations 👏
I think Indian chess players needs to be physically fit as well. Every player is a prodigy but when it comes to physical fitness they are on the downside. Chess needs more physical fitness in the long term which differentiates!
So much hard work and such a great event, then it all goes up in smoke with 1 move blunder... simply heartbreaking. But Arjun will come back from this.
I know this is backseating now but still, keep your King and Rook in opposite colors, specially if your opponent has the bishop pair in such an open board
He recovered very well though. Individual Gold in Olympiad and current world no 3 with 2797 rating. I am happy now that he made this mistake which made him work even harder. 😊
He plays blitz and rapid very well, I dont think controlling time and nerve is a problem for Arjun. 2700 rated players are hard to play and Arjun needs to adjust in this space. I am sure he will come back even stronger. Lets not forget he has secured many feathers in his cap.

At one time during the game he was cupping his chin, probably due to a toothache. If he gets cured of this, he'll have a happy mien and wouldn't make blunders anymore.

Of course not. Even Nodirbek himself is not agree with your opinion.
Nodirbek next champ
If you see Nodirbek is staring an opponent in the game, it is 100 percent obvious that the opponent can not save the game anymore.

Nodirbek has potential to play whole the Indian`s team thar`s Uzbek power.
What an amazing game this was. Fantastic commentary as always.
Such a brutal game at times.
Amazing that even at this level they can make a move that I would do, although my blunders tend to be much earlier in the game.
this shows that even top grandmasters blunders
He will come back stronger !
Why does nodirbek keep closing the cap of the pen after every move tho 😭

Excelente apertura de Nodirbek, muy creativo. Arjun transmite mucha tristeza con su gesto.
I love the enthusiasm of your videos.
Also, Arjun seemed to play this game without looking at the board half of the time, lol.
This blunder is unexplainable
What a game by abdussattarov

Nodirbek is one of the best chess player right now. He won Magnus Carlson already 2 times and 1 time won Nakamura
The pain in Arjuns face.. I really felt it.. having made similar blunders many times
Arjun queen is already trapped in e5 why not Bishop g4 played??? Can someone explain

Nodirbek puts so much pressure that even opponents like Arjun and Gukesh can blunder. However Arjun and Gukesh of 2024 are different.
Tunnel vision probably. Been there, done that.
I like Nodirbek's fighting spirit.

Sagar said magnus instead of abdusatarov 1:24
He was referring to a game played by Carlsen in the past where he’d opted for the move Nc3
Not looking at the board during the game does not help.
It does help. He is World no 3. Many people think not looking at the board. That helps them to concentrate.

Arjun resigned. He blundered his rook, and would not be able to force a draw.

Arjun's shows some attitude. See his face is always in a sad position. Is he very proud of himself?

I don't know why Arjun's face always looks like this? arrogant?
That's his personality. He's reserved and soft spoken. Not everybody can be an extrovert.
