At 3:12, black played pawn takes bishop. But if it would take white queen with knight, then white bishop would take black queen , then black knight could take rook at E1, which would be choped by another rook then black rook can chop white bishop at D8. Black is at advantage.

It's not mate, but a check to king. King is forced to take the queen. Then Knight jumps to f6 forking king and queen
