  • Resuming the impromptu video here. It poured down rain through an open window onto the top of the PowerHouse II 800 (Anker 545), and then the power station appeared to not function. No script here - just opening it up, and trying to figure what might have happened. Troubleshooting, testing, wires....oh my.
Note: In my haste to get the power station opened up, I forgot to double-check that my microphone was plugged in (it wasn't) and that the camera was set up properly (it wasn't). So, this video will sound and look a little different though I spent a lot of time trying to rectify this in post.
This battery was purchased with my own money.

    ⚡️Notice:
It is generally not recommended to open a device like this on carpeting. In the case of this video, the relative humidity was very high during this recording (75%), and with no translation across the flooring to create a buildup of potential energy, which posed a very low ESD risk.

I’ve been using the Anker Powerhouse II 800 for about two years and noticed something unusual. When I wall plug it in from a fully dead battery, the display shows an estimated charging time of 1.1 hours (it actually take that time to fully charge), but it’s supposed to take around 7.1 hours to fully charge.
Also, I’ve found that every time I charge it through a wall plug, I have to reset the unit. Otherwise, it won’t charge properly-the middle screen shows charging, but the left side where the charging wattage should be displayed remains blank, meaning it's not actually charging.
After resetting, it charges fine, but once it hits 99%, the left side bar (charging wattage) disappears, and it never reaches 100%.
    any ideas?
