You guys should note that Meridian's standard salon and interior trim level is that of million dollar yachts. Assuming the refit is completed, all this boat really needs is some liion and/or standard battery banks and a good solar deck top to make it as good as a modern live aboard. Meridian design work is still among the best.
You guys are just two dang cute together. Yes, you do some of the best boat/yacht tours on TH-cam with the right amount of detail given to each vessel and Rico gives just the right amount of screen time to every amenity. But instead of a drab experience of pointing out those amenities monochromatically, the back and forth banter with the obvious chemistry between you two makes it actually fun to come along for the tour. For me you two have created the gold standard for a video tour that makes you feel like your there with you. Great stuff!! 👍🏻😎👍🏻
It's a great channel that gives great explanation with translation into several languages. Thank you with all my heart. I learned a lot from you. I want to buy a yacht of this brand. I read earlier that your 408 has a small engine room defect. Does this 368 have the same problem or is it less bad, especially since I live in the Middle East and the maintenance there is not sufficiently developed? What is the best model in terms of maintenance and economic feasibility? The goal is to rent it with tours
Did anyone else notice the pirouette when Victoria went from the work table to the galley? It’s obvious that you both love what you’re doing and it shows in your videos. Keep living the dream! And thanks so much for taking us along for the ride!
Y'all are awesome, love seeing other couples that can so easily joke with each other. Thank you for getting back into the affordable series, I love everything about this little boat minus the engine room yoga that would be required.
Without a doubt some of the best boating content on TH-cam. I especially love the reviews of reasonably affordable (but well-maintained and perfectly functional) large yachts, such as the Cheoy Lee a week or two ago, the 101’ Arno a few months ago, etc. That could almost spawn its own separate channel.
Whatta great starter live aboard ,,,,, even for a old geezer like me , recently retired who might want to spend 2 or 3 months away from land ,,,,, looks relatively easy to clean and maintain machinery 👍 You guys hit on another winner 🥳 Thanks again for a terrific video 🍻
Amazing what they can put in 36 foot today. This is the relaxed Victoria when it's just you and Rico. Cute part where you are batting around the thumbs up or bell symbol. This was just a fun video.
Let me just add, I LOVE your use of stripes in your wardrobe. Love stripes so much; I try to buy nice little pieces for my Mrs like that every chance I get. Great video!
What an awesome boat - my husband is literally cowering in the corner of the bedroom in fear now because we could easily afford this boat so our days of cruises could be over if we have our own boat :)
Carver has always been my brand of choice, but it is very interesting to see what the competition has on offer. You ocean types have access to much more variety in boats on offer than us Great Lakers, but I see a lot of commonalities. Like Carver a lot of thought is given to form and function on this boat. What is really appreciated is how up to date this 16 year old boat is in form and function. It is also nice to hear your thoughts given your “on board” experience with this brand and of course your always professional and personable manner of expressing them. 😊

Wow. The owners could not have chosen a better set of guides to the boat. You know and like the brand and you have the credibility of actual owners. Victoria you shamelessly took the opportunity to brush the lint off Rico’s behind. Oh that someone so loved me today! In Dubai take the opportunity to dress in a veil just for the fun of the contrast with a self confident female captain. I liked this tour.
That smaller side by side fridge/freezer is pretty unique. Has Rico made a decision on getting his pilots license? You guys are moving? I know I missed a couple of videos…… anyway, sweet looking boat. Hope you guys have a safe trip to Dubai. Sooooo, chilly there is it? Ha! I should say that next week it is going to warm up to +5. What we up here call ‘banana hammock’ weather. Anyway, back to the boat. Very slick looking and amazing how much you Can fit into these things. Very roomy. Speaking of roomy, if you recall, old man Cheeseman’s boat could fit 3 cows. Well, old man Cheswick (mayor/therapist/idiot) bet him a case of beer he couldn’t fit 4 cows on his boat. Needless to say, The boat was unable to take the weight (mostly because he forgot to milk the cows first) and promptly sunk. No cows were injured in the sinking. Old man Cheswick got drunk on the beer, grabbed another broom and jumped onto old lady Whittle’s back, riding her through town claiming he was Don Quixote. This ended at the town mini putt where both crashed into the windmill on hole 12. It is spring here and the river has opened up prompting my brother to relaunch his yachtcanoe. Now being the McGiver that he is figured his yachtcanoe might be a tad top heavy and filled the bottom with about 800 lbs of lead sinkers that he had collected from various tackle boxes about town. This prompted an investigation by the town Constable (Ted Cheswick, old man Cheswick’s son and second cousin twice removed). Anyway, back to said relaunching of my brother’s yachtcanoe. Being the loving and caring brother that I am I quickly gathered a couple of my buds and we grabbed the stuffed moose head from my brother’s room and headed down the river to surprise him. So, Charlie Bytheway, Ted Whittle (old lady Whittle’s grandson) and myself found a great spot in some bushes and waited. Now Ted drew the short straw and was elected to hold the moose head. Sure enough my brother rounded the bend. Ted jumped up holding the moose head. My brother, having armed himself with his shotgun, ran up to the fly bridge and pointed the gun at Ted. Ted seeing this turned to run just as my brother unloaded both barrel’s into Ted’s rear end. Luckily it was loaded with rock salt. (Luckily, the only lasting effect on Ted was that he stopped asking people to ‘pass the salt’ at mealtimes.) They say that the universe runs on physics and I’m here to tell you that is true. A fellow called Newton once said that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Three things happened after my brother pulled the trigger 1) Ted no longer required salt in his diet. 2) my brother’s yachtcanoe heeled over from the kick of the shotgun almost to the point of capsizing and 3) the 800 lbs of lead sinkers brought the yachtcanoe back with such force as to catapult my brother clear across the water and into a bush where he landed on a sleeping porcupine. It’s funny how knowledge is gained from the most bizarre incidents. We learned that not all of a porcupine’s quills are meant to dislodge. Those reside mostly on a porcupine’s tail. The rest stay on said animal. Now Charlie and I rushed to my brother and soon realized this tidbit of knowledge when we rolled him over onto his back. The porcupine remained stuck to my brother, not unlike Velcro. The porcupine being quite upset (and rightly so) began thrashing his tail into my brother’s crotch until it was so thick with quills that it resembled a 70’s porn star in dire need of a trim. Well, we peeled the porcupine off my brother and let him go. By this time my brother was reduced to a whimpering mess (big baby) and his conditioned worsened somewhat when I realized I had a pair of pliers in my back pocket. His whimpering turned to screams so loud that they woke old lady Whittle out of the coma she was in from the windmill incident, so, silver lining I guess. Anyway, to make a long story short, my brother is back in therapy 🙄. Cheers from the great white north.👍😎🥶🇨🇦🏹
Fun boat tour guys thanks! We are lifelong boaters (mostly multihull sailing) but are toying with the idea of a great loop adventure in 2025. Many suggest a 50 foot trawler but I like the idea of a boat similar to this with "just enough" interior living space, a turn of speed for crossing the great lakes, and shoal draft to avoid most of the bars and snags along the way. We would probably only keep the boat for 1 season unless we completely fell in love. Any input would be appreciated. Cheers!
Just curious, with the cost of fuel these days, how much would it cost to fill this boat up with marine ⛽️ fuel. At cruise how many nautical miles can this cabin cruiser go on a full tank?
Wonderful content- so glad I came across your channel- Thanks for the all the information for a hopeful newbie to the world of boating. I have a question and if you have already addressed it- please excuse me. I was hoping you can touch base on just general operating cost such as expected upkeep of a boat of this type size and price range- such as annual or monthly cost upkeep- I am certain that it depends on many factors use - but any idea or price ranges would be greatly appreciated. I am learning so much from you both! cheers Tony
Outtakes note: This is why Broadway looks down at Hollywood and its endless retakes. You don't get retakes on the stage. Screw up there -- forget a line or a timely movement and you're lost in limbo. And the director may not even be there for that moment. You have to wing it out of trouble. If you can. If you can't, you don't last long in N.Y. If you've even gotten that far! I'm teasing you of course. I remember when you two were relatively new to vlogging. Nautistyles has come a long way in a short time! You're a fun couple now that you've learned to loosen up and be yourselves!
Same here. Docking costs and average living/running costs so I can work out if this is a viable option for me. I can afford the boat, just not sure what other costs I need to take into consideration.
U 2 are so cute. Wish u were my neighbors! Love this boat. I could easily live aboard, however I'm not very mechanical and the up keep costs would kill me! But I dream. I love So Cal and the water lifestyle!
This is great. Built for retirement living. What about availably of a slip. I assume the boat doesn't come with the slip where it is currently tied up.
Affordable is a relative term. Boats are expensive to own, especially when they are near 20 years old. Dock space, insurance and fuel costs are considerable. The huge costs come from maintenance, 1000 hour service on two diesels can easily be $20,000. Even if you are handy enough to pull and clean intercoolers, replace injectors, replace turbos and manifolds, parts are a high cost. Then you have generator maintenance, AC and water maker maintenance, electronics and electrical, pumps, hoses, etc. Don't even think about buying an older boat with Detroit diesels.
I have been really enjoying your boat reviews. And have subscribed. i am getting my power boat license soon and want to take a chartered or bareboat charter to the Greek Island this end of summer. we live in the SF bay area and want to have a weekend live aboard when we return from the trip. could you tell us who recommend for Greek charters or bareboard charters? and who we should contact for possible buying a boat that we see on your channel, and then getting it up to northern calif.?
Love this boat! What about yours? I heard just a hint that you might be getting a new boat soon? I would be so happy to support you in getting a new boat, if only I knew? Thanks again for an informative video.
Speculation on new boat.Quality refrigeration. Definitely dishwasher. Hopefully engine room large enough for Boat Aerobics.Bad to the Bone sound system.Ample cupholders. Three person shower in case you want to dance as well as sing in the rain. But Captain Rico is probably still gonna have to keep the bulk of his clothes in one of the guest staterooms .

Always, great seeing your videos!!!
I'd love this to keep in the Bahamas! Either dock or mooring ball
🙌🏻👌🏻
Great video as always, it would be interesting to know how much dockage costs on your liveaboard series
You have the best clothes.. cant wait to see your new boat.. WHAT ARE YOU GETTING.?? You really should do a clothing line.
Ooow thank youuu 🙏🏻💙 we will reveal very soon
Being in L.A., it would be interesting to know your costs of liveaboard in Marina Del Rey! Hope to see this soon!
Nice boat, but the Galeon has been my favorite so far!
Have fun in Dubai! Make sure to check out the fountain water show outside the Burj Khalifa in the evening.
I like these videos, one day id love to have a small boat like this 😁
Really great boat. Aft master cabin why don’t they make these anymore?!
I know 😭😭😭
This is great. Built for retirement living. What about availably of a slip. I assume the boat doesn't come with the slip where it is currently tied up.
Beautiful little ship. Thanks as always
Thank you too!
Man what a great channel, and the intro music is so perfect
Very nice always look forward to a new video. Have fun.
Glad to hear that!
Very interesting yacht. Scott Kennedy said it all.
Love the affordable series. Gives average income middle class folks something to dream about...
Have you ever made a video of the cost of parking a boat? Can you buy spaces or rent them? Plus maintaining?
Finally back to the usual 🙌
We always change it up on you
I like these videos just as much as the Bering videos.
Very nice live aboard. Wouldn't work for me. But well found with lots of good things. Thanks.
Fair enough
The videos are always so great but these outtakes make me laugh so much.
21:44 - bonus fan service 🙂
Victoria looks beautiful, as ever.
🙏🏻💙
Affordable is a relative term. Boats are expensive to own, especially when they are near 20 years old. Dock space, insurance and fuel costs are considerable. The huge costs come from maintenance, 1000 hour service on two diesels can easily be $20,000. Even if you are handy enough to pull and clean intercoolers, replace injectors, replace turbos and manifolds, parts are a high cost. Then you have generator maintenance, AC and water maker maintenance, electronics and electrical, pumps, hoses, etc. Don't even think about buying an older boat with Detroit diesels.
Great job guys. Luv your reviews! 195k what a bargain! And better power to weight than Your boat.
This live aboard is really nice. My issues are refrigerator & stove needs to be bigger
This boat looks very good.
Can't wait for Dubai
Just catching up, thanks again y'all!
Our pleasure! thank you sooo much for watching
Love this boat! What about yours? I heard just a hint that you might be getting a new boat soon? I would be so happy to support you in getting a new boat, if only I knew? Thanks again for an informative video.
Yes, we have finally pulled the trigger 🙈😝😝 will reveal asap
Me caen muy bien ustedes dos, hacen un excelente equipo, saludos amigos!
Victoria is like the Sia of the sea!
Always great reviews !
If she's a captain..
She should be able to
explain the controls ???
Speculation on new boat.Quality refrigeration. Definitely dishwasher. Hopefully engine room large enough for Boat Aerobics.Bad to the Bone sound system.Ample cupholders. Three person shower in case you want to dance as well as sing in the rain. But Captain Rico is probably still gonna have to keep the bulk of his clothes in one of the guest staterooms .
