On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.

Yeah... apparently you need to do full video on stress testing the Apache's landing gear. This video was a half-assed attempt.
I would like to see two AH-64s team up to hit air defense sites as a team. Then, take out armor, vehicles, and infantry. Terrain with large hills and trees.
Serious question, does the AC-130 have combat capabilities in DCS? Also I couldn't find out if DCS has the russian AC-12
Former Army helicopter pilot and helicopter flight instructor. The fastest way to become an outstanding helicopter pilot (this will translate to simulation, too) is to demand precision in every aspect of flight. Examples: Hovering out of your airfield, pick a point directly in front of you. Hovering Exactly 5', over the line, no drift, no deviation in heading; at your imaginary point, do a pedal turn, slow and continuous, no drift, no deviation of your 5' Hovering. Apply the same principles in straight and level flight: Altitude within 25', heading within 2°, speed within 3 kts. You may think you suck at first but you will be a stud if you diligently practice.
Practice perfection to become perfect.
Almost forgot the most important tip. The scan: Airspeed, attitude, Altitude, heading. Every three seconds followed by small mental control inputs for corrections.
Fan-fuckin-tastic advice. Never would've thought of about it this way, but I'm also way more used to fixed wing.
@@Trve_Kvlt Youll find its basic commentary at best and while ive never flown a real helicopter you will find i excel at dcs helicopting and would out fly any real heli pilot because they are too structured and i am a 'flow' pilot. FLOW - Find Low Oscillate wind

@@AD-gt6zh Sims don't kill you if you make a mistake. You can respawn. Real pilots can't. By default, they are better than you. Furthermore, helicopter tactics, like many things, are classified and a real pilot can only share a few basics. The guidance for classified info is that you can share it if anyone can Google it.

@9:24 - After reviewing the footage, the ruling on the field is overturned. Number AH-64, Offense, was down by contact during the play. The ball will be moved back to the position of Number AH-64's downing. The Play Clock will be reset, and the Offense will maintian posesstion. 2nd Down!

Many would say the margins were too close. They would die to the missile. But GS knows, missiles don't have landing gear - missiles can't follow that maneuver.

Map throttle as collective and inverse the control. Forward throttle
= up in collective. Its how i do.

I thought the sick sauce of the D model was the radome on top that would let you lock up multiple targets while low profile and then fire radar guided missiles while you don't have to be exposed. These are all memories from when I was playing Longbow back in the 90's tho.
Longbow radar isnt implemented intO Dcs Yet.

Osa 9K33 missile system (SA-8) is a radar command-guided system and it's spoofed by chaff, not flares.
the MWS puts out flare and chaff as needed so no problem there.

I've been loving the new update so far. Hopefully the FPS increase I got and the lack of crashes that I was getting at the end of the previous OB will mean I can get some online flying in with the Apache. I still need to try out multicrew in the thing.

Ka-50 gun sound is also surprisingly satisfiying in BS3. When pulling just one shot(literally) (not saying its any use...) with lo rate, it echoes nicely in canyons. Not to mention full burst :)
