Just before the pandemic shut down started, Harry was on NPR Tiny Desk and he played "Adore You". The first thing he said to describe it was, "It's about a fish. I just had this fish and I really liked it." His sense of humor on descriptions is about as peculiar as the boy in Adore You.

Rosalía is a Spanish singer quite known worldwide, you should listen to some of her music. She sings flamenco (Spanish genre) and that is the sound of her first album but now mixes many styles and creates so unique music. I recommend listening to her cover of Me quedo contigo at the Goyas to appreciate her incredible voice. Btw she is also friends with harry so he asked her to narrate the story in the video because he loved her voice and accent.

He did say that the fish was a ‘he’ and at the time he was asked about the fish Harry said “The fish is uh travelling at the moment, he’s on a gap year and hopefully he’ll come back safe, it’s complicated, we’re taking a little time apart”

Harry's always obtuse in his videos - he is the boy who always felt different and didn't fit in? Is he the fish, who's literally a fish out of water? Was he trying to hold onto the fish as it outgrew him? Etc.
