@@Cecilia.selfgallery Sure will continue watching your videos, you have well invested so many hours in your art, is a delight watching you combine colors. I have been looking for oil pastel tutorials, i learnt a lot watching your videos, the way you create darker values with complementary tones, also the use of greens in your skin palette which is not easy to harmonize. Best regards and do not worry much about likes and subscribers, just keep growing as an artist.
Thank you so much for your support! I'm glad that you found out lots of interesting things that are useful for you in your own creative work. I really appreciated how you made a list of what you've learnt because maybe other people who need it may find it some way. Thank you again!

Thanks so much for your comment! 😄 I’m really glad you enjoyed the video and found my first portrait practise with oil pastels surprising! It was definitely a fun and exciting challenge for me. Your support means a lot, and I hope you continue to enjoy my art journey. Feel free to let me know if there are any other techniques or subjects you'd like to see :3
Thanks so much for your compliment Wow, it's quite hard to think and process the answer :D but I think this is my way of taking control of the colors After analysing Sargent's painting, I focus on a picked palette (from my oil pastel resources) and gradually layer colors to keep things balanced. How about you-what’s your favorite trick for controlling color? I’d love to know more about it :3
Hi! I use D'Artigny Oil pastel Fixative from Sennelier and Liquitex Matte Varnish (Acrylic Medium). I apply the fixative during the painting process and also when it is finished, then the varnishing.
You are new to oil pastel may I guess? Hope that you find some interesting things in my video! If you need some advice, don't hesitate to email me! Promise to answer! 🥰😇
wonderful palette, you got my subscription. Best wishes in your artistic journey.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for subscribing! Best wishes to you too, and I hope you continue to enjoy the artistic journey ahead 😊

What type of fixative or varnish do you use? It's a question, thank you for your video and your answer.

@@Cecilia.selfgallery Thanks for answering me😇🥰
U're welcome! Hope my answer could help you on your work 😊
@@Cecilia.selfgallery Hablas Espanol?
No, so sorry 😅
Are you using some kind of medium to blend the oil pastels?
Oil pastel is soft enough for easily blending so I just use my fingers, q tips or tortillon for finer blending
What type or brand of paper do you use and how many grams, 300 or 640? Thanks for answering me.🥰😇
HI! I use the Oil Pastel Pad from Sennelier, 340 grams. I found this one is very soft and gentle to oil pastel so far
