I like 2003 through 2006 years especially 2003 through 2004 with the flip switches the newer one that came out in 05 had the button push (black buttons)
Love the truck the man skipped a gear I used to do the same thing I'd run it through do a double split on the divider grab the high side and keep it moving bring it back nothing but memories😊😊😊😊❤❤
To each is his own but why do you pull it out of gear just to put it back on the split, split let off the fueand it will shift into gear.... doing too much lol
You have no clue what youre talking about. A true driver? With a neutral shift on the splitter? Looks like a super trucker trying to be cool to me... And it's an Automated trans.. not automatic. Huge difference.
I can't wait to get the opportunity to drive an 18 speed semi. Sadly it's getting harder to have that opportunity. Had to get my cdl with an auto restriction. Couldn't afford to pay for cdl school and the mega carrier I opted to go thru didn't provide manual trucks. Now I'm local and have more free days. Hoping to find a local school and learn manual soon! 🙏 so cool!
Super clean shifting. Though got a question. When you use the splitter, do you have to move it into neutral and back? Always thought you can just split it without moving the stick.
@@CustomRigs Bigger bore = Thinner liners...and apparently they drop liners a lot.. but who knows..who did what, and if protrusion was even measured correctly.. hard to say..people like to skip things when rebuilding..Virtually same engine, besides few internals...but can't go wrong with 6nz

no one in the pulling 80k needs to be splitting the low gears. leave that to the big boys pulling 250k 😂. i find it comical that guys have an 18 speed piling a dryvan Lmao 😂😂😂😂..
Same thought See alot of people pull the shifter out just to split the gear. when i learned just flip the switch and release the gas and get back on it
Okay the one guy just answered my question I was wondering how you were shifting I never really seen you fooled that gray button so now I get it you were skipping gears cuz you ain't got no heavy load got it
Anybody can bang gears now drive 5 million miles without a accident in 40+ years of driving! Now that’s a “TRUCK DRIVER”!!!! And a lot of those miles were in C.O.E. But that was when trucking was enjoyable!!!
@soso yea they really ruined commercial OTR industry, too much red tape and micro management of drivers, it's not the "freedom of the open road anymore

The day I get to drive my own setup like that I won’t be able to stay outta the truck she sounds so good
The best dash Kenworth ever made in my opinion brings me back to my childhood 🤠

Why the neutral shift on the splitter, there's no reason for that?
Because super trucker that’s why….
I was wondering that too
Why doesn't he just split then let off the gas

Oh yea hammer her down driver nice set up and the sound 🥴ya just fall in love😂 safe travels 10 4
Great clutch .
That is speed shifting!
Gorgeous kenworth how about on the next video you show you run all 18 years instead of skipping half of them
You try running thru all them gears every time😂you’d be skipping half of them too
Still never understand why guys take it out just to put it back in. Pointless
😂😂😂😂. Feels nice sometimes.
Nice name btw.

I was wondering the Same here too. I never go to neutral and it doesn’t cause any problems
He's doing it just for show
@@shortstack343 you don’t have to move the shifter you just got a press the clutch release the clutch after you split and it’s going to change gears

Why do you pull it out of the hole to split? Just get off the gas and drive like everybody else.
Nice, sly moves for those who don't know 😏
Good machine

Put a Jake button on SHIFTER !! SUPPER TRUCKER
That is a lot of shifting! Why not skip gears?
Shifter needs shortening if you can't comfortably shift it holding onto the ball I guess huh ?
How did I ever get by with just a ten speed.😊
Have a great ride driver

Your wearing the trans out , just straight stick it.
Any reason you take the gear out to split going up but not going down? 🤡
Smoother up shift
Just what I was thinking. It’s pretty pointless unless your a super trucker
The reason-that would be showing off! And why not skip some of the gears because he appears to be empty(too fast acceleration for a Cat & loaded)
Personal preference when unloaded

Sure does ALOT of shifting!
Got gears lmao what skip all of them or what big trucker ?

Aerojet rocketdyne RS-25. AKA SPACE SHUTTLE main engine. class dismissed.
Shifting like that makes you look stupid to anyone that's been driving longer than a day.
Thank you for letting me know
Split them gears
That would be extremely annoying within a short period of time
