And it was one of their worse performance in the past couple years, so if anything Jimmy had *better* pass pro.

      Jimmy g will be out of the league next season. It’s crazy Jimmy g never got the system qb bash. Was it because he played along side Tom Brady that they thought he was good? Or was it because Brock was the last pick of the draft? Brock ain’t no system qb, Jimmy g is a system qb.

    NFL pundits mix up physical gifts with talent. Trey Lance is physically gifted while Brock Purdy is talented. Physical gifts are potential, talent translates to wins. Physical gifts are more seductive than talent and get a QB drafted earlier than talent.

    • @samuelault4723
      @samuelault4723 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Yup, it’s doesn’t matter if your coach tells you exactly where to look if you can’t see what you’re supposed to. And even if you can see it that doesn’t mean you’ll find it in time. And if you find it in time you still have to accurately deliver the ball.

      I disagree, physical gifts is talent. Hard work and dedication is what translates to wins. I’d argue Kaepernick benefited from having talent and was schemed up behind talented players but didn’t dedicate himself to the craft of QB yet was more successful than Alex Smith. Ironically enough, Trey Lance was blessed with physical gifts yet lacked the intangibles. He constantly was trying to work on his craft but wasn’t schemed up the same way Brock and Garapolo. Trey had to play with Sanu and run up the gut more times than his own RB (not CMC btw). Also helps when you play 4 years in college.

    The whole system thing is way overblown. A good playcaller is a playcaller but no matter what the QB has to be able to execute. Never seen a QB be elite without good talent and a good playcaller. What makes Brock better than most think is he did it behind one of the worst pass blocking Olines. Put another QB in this system, and I’d bet they wouldn’t run it as efficiently as Brock does. Being in the perfect system doesn’t guarantee anything, you still have to execute it. And he does this consistently and to perfection.
