The man will build the culture... he may not (age wise) get the Raiders the Lombardi... but I think he will set the foundation that gets you there... not just the team and players... but the equipment staff.. the food service.. the janitorial staff.. etc. That is what he did in Seattle to deliver a championship... EVERYONE bought in. Anyone who does not will get jettisoned... doesn't matter when they were drafted or how much they getting paid.
What sucks is that, yeah, he’ll build a foundation to get there but once he’s gone, will the next coach we get want to do things his way? Then the cycle starts again

There's something that just feels right with Pete in silver and black. This almost seems like destiny in some way. My gut says good times are ahead. I’m a Seahawks fan and I love Pete. Pete is a winner. He just knows how to win no matter what. When people thought that we would win 4 games the next season after trading Russ and blowing it up, we made the playoffs in our really good division. Pete will consistently give you heart attack games but he almost always comes out on top, and if you guys have prime time games more likely than not he’ll win and that gives such a big morale boost for the everyone. People thinks his philosophy is old but it’s proven over and over again that it works in winning games and that’s what the raiders need. Just win some games and set up a foundation for the future. Ya’ll haven’t been able to build off a season in forever, that’s what’s desperately need to build off season and stack them up with hungry players.
I really do hope that all the raiders really pay attention and listen to this coach and I hope they give them their full throttle so they could be champions
I would find it incredibly hard to cheer for the Raiders but I do love Pete Carroll as a coach and as a great guy. I have met and talked to Pete on several occasions. I hope he does very well.

I'm cautiously optimistic about Pete, with more emphasis on caution than optimism to be honest. But I'm warming to him more as I listen to him talk. What's got me excited though, is PG will stay as DC and that makes it easier to be patient and see where this goes. At some point, this team has to settle in to some long-term consistency and stop stirring the WHOLE DAMNED POT every year or two. That makes wheels spin.
This is the best pick we ever made that wasn't on my list.. usually when they pick somebody I didn't have in mind it's terrible this is one of the best coaching decisions we've made up there with gruden and Jack del Rio I feel the same uplift

The NFL is better when the Raiders are good.
