    Like the use of the rubber tubing. Very informative video, this will help with wood as well. I will be installing a wood bed in my 65 GMC.

    If LMC could engineer the boards with stock bolts and stock bolt location, one wouldn’t need a “buddy system” and 3 days 😂 to install??

      Exactly. Then they could actually advertise it ready to install and be truthful about it.

    • @jeffcampbell2710

      It looked delicate. They even handled it like it was. 10 minutes, a 5 year old boy, I mean a boy, not like we see so much of today, his cowboy boots, and him jumping around, would probably look like a hail storm came. But, I'm only guessing.
      But, the look just isn't wood. Looks like those vinal boards for decks. I think those would work, and be tough as nails.

    Hey LMC - Guys, why don't you re-pop floors for 66 Ford Styleside trucks? There are hundreds of these around and nobody makes one. You have bunches of guys like me that are going to have to jerry-rig a solution that works for our old trucks where the bed is too damaged/rusted for use.
    I've got two '66 beds and I'm less than three hours from your corporate headquarters. You can swing down and take any measurements you need to see if you can make something for us. If you can do it, you'll sell a few hundred of them quickly because there are bunches of us trying to figure out what to do.

If you click my name it should take you to the list of videos where I describe what I'm going to do and I show some progress on how it's going. Don't worry about subscribing or liking or anything, I just want to help others figure this out too. If you watch and have some suggestions do not hesitate to leave them on the pages.

      Traversebean2 Bmx not when you factor in that you may have to refinish or replace regular bed wood twice or 3 times during this ones life span. And you don’t have to baby this like you would regular wood if you want it to look good

    • @adriantomlin2902
      @adriantomlin2902 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You don't have to baby the wood in the bed of was probably finished!!

    • @karlsmith2570
      @karlsmith2570 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It may cost more than a wood bed in the short term
      But, when you factor in the fact that you are a lot more likely to have to replace the planks after a certain amount of time, adding in the whole process of finishing the planks top, bottom and edges
      It's a lot cheaper in the long term

    "How did you wood get all those dents in it?"
    "My kid had his cowboy boots on and was jumping up n down in it"
    It looks good, but it's impossible, so far, to duplicate the look of real wood with a printer. And it will bend, and dent, I'm guessing not to hard either. The weight issue is good if you race it for sure.
