I miss my old cb7. I custom made a turbo kit from a junkyard dsm. Safely made 264hp and I beat on it daily for 4 years and then the motor blew. Those f22a's are badass motors.
I fitted a cold air filter corn shaped in the stock air box in my e46 4 cyl , the filter gets cold air no heat sokes the car did not get faster but the throtl respone got better , from the inside if you rev it in high rpms you start hearing it from the outside you can hear it and feel that the engine sound is better
My cb7 with this cold air and h23 TB and eBay header exhaust with a buddy club welded muffler made a total of 11hp and I've enjoyed it ..been three years.
A true cold air intake should improve the engine performance, torque curve, mpg, and add a few ponies. And it sounds really cool. I hate those intake boxes that are under the hood sucking up very hot air killing your mpg and performance. But i think most people lose mpg because they like that sound when we get over 3000 rpms. lol
its rare to get hydrolocked. I had a car with a CAI with the filter way down behind the driving light, 6" off the road? and One night a parking lot where i parked flooded, knee deep on me is two feet of water. I opened the door and water rushed inside, fired it up and backed out of the pond. Praying the whole time i didnt suck up gallons of water. Prob got lucky...took 2+ months to dry my interior lol
More air means more fuel means car go fast hahaha.. ON A SIDENOTE- I am actually building my intake piece by piece as it is rather massive for the big v8 AMG engines. Needs a lot of airflow. Going to put a stack out of the front hood very likely. Cheers bro keep it up!
None of those aftermarket intakes fit any better than this one. That hole _has_ to be enlarged (they're the same on all of these Accords); nobody wants a skinny aftermarket pipe anyway. The only questionable aspect of any intake system is the quality of the filter. Get a cheap intake if you want to cut costs on the piping, but swap the filter out for an AEM or K&N that will actually do a better job of filtering the air.

That sounds sweet! And yeah the f22’s are sweet engines.
F23 superiority!

Yeah very tru a lot of intakes nowadays just suck up hot engine bay air and are useless! Thanks for the comment!
True that James! I'm building one myself
No more rain driving. You need the bypass filter that goes in the middle to avoid hydrolock
I’ve heard that rain helps cool down the pistons during V-Tec lol but yeah we’re going to have to keep it out of the rain for now!
@@garbcargarage1006 Haha right

I found that out the hard way in my CB7 😂
Love how he kept slapping the box 😂
more cb7 videos plz
Now go thru the trouble of removing your fender liner to clean the Air filter.
my CD5 has a $50 intake I bought from ebay haha. Its insanely loud, and improved my mpg (only by a little)
I put one on a 95 CD7 and it fit through the hole without cutting, I found that the intakes fit accords from 1990-1997
You should check out my 1992 Accord probably one of the cleanest you've seen

Nice one🔥💪👍💯
People in the comments speaking about hot vs cold air and all tgat stuff, but no one talks about intake resonance and pulses.
Why did this episodes end?
Won't the air filter placement cause the Filter get wet when it rains
Potentially, but that is the danger of any true cold air intake, they make socks to go over the filters to prevent it from taking in water.
Cheap Amazon crap never fits, I am suprised
