- How to Design a K Series Swap Mount Kit
By Brian Gillespie and Aaron Gaghagen
Have you ever wondered how Hasport Performance designs a new K swap mount kit? Brian shows how he designed the new CB Accord K20/K24 swap mount kit that will feature a dual height option and fit all K series manual transmissions. Of course, development of a mount kit is quicker when you have a laser cutter, press brake, half dozen HAAS CNC machines, a lift, all the engine and transmission options, a straight engine bay, existing mount and bracket CAD files and over 25 years of experience. Luckily you don't need all of that to see and understand how a Hasport engine mount kit comes together for the 1990-1993 Accord.

Please please please get a 3.0CL rearward subframe and design mounts using it! It has the mount location in almost the perfect location to line up with the T bracket and is clearanced for the transmission on the driver side since it had a J series in it! The same subframe was used in the 95-97 Accord V6. I'm unsure if it will work with the CB chassis, but its a direct swap into 94-97 Accords. It should allow the drivetrain to be moved back another inch or two for perfect axle alignment. I have a sneaking suspicion that with the correct length midshaft, the 3.0CL/95-97 V6 axles will be the perfect length for the swap as well. This would also allow for simplicity of J swaps, too. The timing side bracket/mount/post mount from the 3.0CL should also make things simpler for that swap, too, maybe also for a K.
Oh, absolutely love CB accords. Especially wagons. this is wonderful
I'm so glad to see cb7 getting some love finally 👌🏾so mount kit is available now now someone needs to make a plug an play harness now lol an us cb7/9 guys an gals are in there 😎
I can not wait for these to get in my hands - have a K24A and TSX 6SPD trans waiting to go and will not use any other mount company. The CB9 wagon will really scoot along once everything goes in. Thank you for all you do, Brian - Hasport mounts #1

@randomrebuilds I saw the title on this video and I thought about you right away
Awesome video Brian!
Thanks for watching!
91 CB9 Wagon Owner here, can't wait to get these
The ability to design and create in 3D space is not all that common. You have a gift, and I love that you share this with the world. I am building a K1 Attack kit car and have been waiting for this new kit to be available for many months... very happy now that it is available. Thank you Brian for sharing your skills. Now all you need to do is allow shipping to Australia on your website !!
90 CB7 still running the H22A I love it maybe one day K swap but I like my H22A!!!
A 91 CB7 coupe was my first car! I miss it.
Keep up the awesome work, you're very skilled.
Yaaay CB love I'll be getting one of these for sure.
Hell yeah, K is the way!
FINALLY THE CB7
I been waiting months bro
This!!!
Wow that's a great platform we call those croaco in 🇵🇷
I have a 93 lx coupe and very interested in seeing you do a k-swap. There's not a lot of love for these cb7 coupes for k-swapps. Keep up the good work.
EXCELLENT video
Going to get 93 CB7 coupe! So excited to Kswap it

i love my 91 wagon k24a2 swapped with the hasports mounts! just the axle angle is not 100% right so vibration is an issue :(
CB Gang.... Ayy can i get that Front Lip Brian? Lol Please?
That tire totally looks road worthy 😂
Brand new! LOL
I have a k24a4 from an element and I’ve intended to swap it into my 91 accord
Sedan red interior lower mileage shell
Wouldn't mind a K-swap kit for a B13 Sentra.
That accord is a gem 2dr are hard to find
I got a 93 wagon ex teal green 5spd, almost was gonna bark out I'll trade you,but coupe is in some ruff condition compared to my wagon so bit my tongue 😮
We need a cg accord vid😢
I don’t have one yet.
I've got a 6th gen 99 accord I would love to k swap
Those bodies are getting affordable too.
@@VTECAcademy I'm curious the one your using for the swap came stock with a f23 right ? If so I wonder if your kit would work for me being they are a few years apart
Manual?
@@masonchase085 no not at the moment I'm trying to get my hands on the euro accord tranny it came in a 6 speed with a LSD from the factory. Why do you ask ?
damn im in 3rd!
Bahahaha! It was slipped when the website posted the article early yesterday.
can you please do a video on putting a k series in a non Honda car? Im not saying get it completely done and driving and wired etc, that part is easy. Just show how to set the engine in like this and how to set it at the correct angles and drive axle alignment just as if you were gonna make mounts for it. And what to look out for. Would be pretty Amazing. Some people may want to engine swap their old beater cars and they can get the engines cheap, but may not already got a Honda etc.
Love your works, man. Yhe projects are educating.
Am wondering how easy it would be to kswap my daily driven 1997 hatchback suzuki eg baleno.?
Other than custom mounts, it should be doable. With a KPro you can run it as a standalone ECU.
I saw I could order the awd mount kit, I sent the email and was told that you guys aren't making the awd kit
we need a 6th gen accord k swap mounts
I love my 6th gen accord. I would just love someone to help me swap an H22 into it but I live in California so I would need to BAR it.
I have a honda accord cb7 1991, and am waiting for the new kit 👌
Will you post a movie when it is available to order?
It is available now.
@@VTECAcademy the new one? Is it in the shop?
@@VTECAcademyCan't find it in the store 😢
Can we get a redo of the efk2/4/5 rear dog bone mount &/or bracket? bushings do not last and already upgraded the bracket design to latest version. or at least upgraded urethane for it (don't want solid, it's a street car)? There's gotta be a better way to make 'em last
I am looking into that.
Now if only there were K mounts available for the CA Accord 😢
Any idea for axles or oem combination that will work
can i stop by and get those rear pop out windows?
What are my options for a 5th gen accord with an automatic?
Sweet BMW 320i wheels
How did you verify that the lateral position of the engine is correct for the axle lengths? I didn’t see that anywhere.
I have a 92 accord ex wagon factory 5 speed leather been thinking about selling
Too nice for me. I’d just strip it.
How do I get ahold of you? Would love a mount kit for my car!
I only design stuff for Hasport.
I just picked up a 91 coupe lx and I actually have a 2008 Honda accord five speed sedan with a shot frame. Paid 4300 for both altogether. Can I just use these mounts here and rip everything out and put in the cb?
Hey Boss. Help me out! I gotta 87 accord 1.6 L and wanted to keep it alive by kswapping a k24a2 from a 06/07 TSX into it. Is there any mounts for this Frankenstein? And what useful information can you give me on this. I'm a complete novice and just got into this kinda fetish lol😂
Is this a revision kit from the current kit available? Im about to swap in euro k24a3 with a 6speed transmission into my 92 cb7.
Are these available where can I get these I clicked on the linked and nothing shows up
Is this similar to the 94 accord model
Hasport makes a kit for the 94-97 Accord.
I planning to do K swap on my year 1989 ACCORD CA5...But I m not sure if it is doable... anybody here ever do it before? Would like to learn more about it... Sorry for my broken English...since it is not my mother tongue 😆
Can anyone share the link to the gear mount bracket
Which bracket is that?
@@VTECAcademy the bracket between the transmission and the rubber mount
Is this Scott's old Collective Racing car?? 🤣🤣🤣
No, someone has that though. Maybe Robert at Hush Performance knows.
