Yes it was making a loud wining noise, all the time. Also my steering was sporadic, meaning that turning the wheel would be easy, then hard, and easy again. The new pump is quiet and steering is smooth. If you see my other video, I previously replaced the rack and pinion so I knew that was good. The pump was the other major component that had unnecessary wear and tear when the rack and pinion went out.
So pissed bc I tried doing this and the socket worked for the alternator bolts but not for the power steering pump, and the socket I used was JUST half an inch too long to use a proper ratchet on. AND it refused to lineup with the power steering up. Super fed up with this job.
@@roywalker270 I just wanted to confirm, the bolts holding the power steering in place was 6mm allen key right? bc I tried 6mm but they didn't fit FML. but they fit on the bolts keeping the alternator on like a glove. What gives?? I'm also buying a new set of Allen sockets that are shorter to maybe get it to work.
@roywalker270 have you ever ran across a epc light on that audi?
Was the car making a loud noise when turning at stopped and low speeds if so did replacing the pump fix it?

Have you ever gotten a p0011 code
Where did you buy the part from? Can you please provide the part number?

I’m sorry you’re having a hard time with the job. I know it’s a pain.
@@roywalker270 i was doing it with a friend and he accidentally knocked a coolant hose, we cleaned up and called it quits for the day

Same as s4 from 2006?
I believe the rack is the same. Not sure about the pump and location.
