Ball is balanced currently this is because he is still easily countered by characters like sombra and cassidy all they did was make him faster and help some of his major flaws
the point of wrecking ball is to go fast they can still counter the ball if the ball isnt a good ball and doomfist can still punch him pretty reliably orisa can still block him mauga can run him over so while it does help thats a good thing since he can still be countered by a lot of characters

Thats a good idea, I put it on primary fire. You can't shoot in ball form anyways. Dunno why blizz would put it on jump. Jumping is one of the few a actions you **can** do in ball form, and then they double-bind that action.
i jump while spin to winning and have muscle memory to LMB out of ball mode so i set it to interact and changed my interact bind to 1 and F (f is a just incase i want to do interact normally)
I was so sad when I first tried out wrecking ball, not being able to retract his hook. Because when I was a kid I used to play a lot of littlebigplanet 2. Now his grappling hook feels very similar to what im used to!!! I am definitely gonna pick up ball again. Used to feel so clunky, I like this way more! I can finally fling myself how I want!
What I like is you can Toronto kick to slam and then grapple away. You can grapple, roll back while retracting and slam, then grapple again to get away/boop

I mean doing dives to get a bunch of shields with your team seems to be the intended feature. Imaging diving with a genji and tracer adn giving them 75 shields, kinda like how a winston bubble would help their dive.

I was playing around with this yesterday on Havana 3rd point, grappling around one of the wall decoration pieces on the bridge. Held space to retract in, omfg I've never spun around so fast, I felt like I was in a particle collider lol. W change honestly, but the retract is quite janky.
Ball rework is insane I have the most time on him andwith the new space mechanic it makes him faster quicker , able to change grapple direction mid air to boop targets, if you fall awkwardly and don’t get a good enough grapple to get up now you may be able to with the mechanic, easy blenders due to being able to control the length of how far your ball rolls . And much much more to be discovered
makes the slams so much easier to do wherever I love it, though the grapple feels different, still getting used to it (I'm still getting flamed tho lol, at least I can protect my team a little bit) ball is life :3
We need to be able to rebind grapple retract to any button, currently it only allows 4 options and I think space bar can be super limiting. Left click works surprisingly well as it feels like the other side of the grapple right click, only problem is I keep accidently firing and taking myself out of ball form after I detach.
you can change your interact key to any key you want and have F as secondary in case u want to use it normally. i use scroll wheel to jump on ball lmao. lots of ppl using thumb buttons on it, seems smart, since it wont mess with WASD movement. definitely gonna try
Give Rein a 20% DR (stacks with armor to 50%) for 6 seconds when he blocks 200 or 300 damage with shield and then puts it away, would make charges much less risky and then enable actually tanking with armor in the thick of a fight.
@tau-5794 rein already has 14 gazillion hp buffing his health isnt what will mmake him good in a healthy way. Rein either needs more dynamics through movement and/or range (bringing back firestrike 2 shot), or a context around him being more favorable to him like removing bastion from the game for example
When I saw that you could grapple without it going on cooldown I thought "Oh cool, rope climbing is back," but then I realized you don't need it anymore with this retract :)
As a plat ball player, I had to rebind the pull in to melee because sometimes I'm used to jumping on grapples to clear small clutter and such 1 game in and I already heard chazm go "my space bar won't work!" because he's trying to jump but it pulls him in instead. the use for it to get height quickly without fireballing is strong so you can piledriver and use grapple to confirm kill on your way out. It can also be used to get fireball fast if you use it while falling to slingshot yourself and of course SPIDERPIG. The shields sometimes is clutch but it feels like because of the transferal of shields it's only really useful when you go in use it to save yourself and they swap to a support who tops you. controls are so damn clunky though. 1s grapple CD is great.
Aside from having fun of launching self into skybox I had most hide and seek experience yesterday. Whenever I start rolling my enemy swapped into mauga bastion sombra zen. Ball is the same, entirely lobby mad of you.
@gabeitch5578 nah retract is pretty fun, get really good, unpredictable movement from it. So good for running away just launching yourself. I agree on the wall jump though, 99% of the time it'll still be used

Use "Reload" for your bind instead of space. No point having reload while in ball form and it's easily reachable
reloading while in ball form is Op
I put it on left click, it feels very intuitive
If you put it on reload you can't use all your movement keys at the same time , put it on mouse instead
