I have a yorkie it's such a wonderful breed which is why i have stated 10 reasons for those wondering is yorkie is good for you?

I am going to be honest ...I used to think yorkies were horrible yappy little things .. then I bought one for my wife and my opinion changed ...our yorkie is lovely ...she is loyal...very obedient. protective...and she gave me a yorkie staffie cross pup which she gave birth to on my birthday so that really WAS a present from the dog!.
We lost my dog because of early signs of heart failure and so we had to put her down and my mom has been wanting a Yorkie but a TeaCup Yorkie and the are very small , and they need 24/7 care and attention , even from a one foot drop those little puppies can die , they need to be given food at appropriate times and certain amount a day and but need to feed them about every 3 hours (small servings)
Here too - we love our Dahlia. She is a bigger yorkie (11 lbs), not a tea cup, but still small, adorable, and sooooo loving & loyal.

I thought i was a big dog person too and my Aunt just handed me this palm sized Yorkie puppy "he's yours" and i was so incredibly skeptical.
He is 2 now and literally my best friend lol i love that goofy little dog with all my heart. I think i would die for him. I am a little dog person after all :)

I've had my Layla 6years now I rescued her when she was 4. One of the BEST things that's happened to me. I think she rescued me....she offers so much love its unreal. I can never replace her...
I lived with my mom and stepdad they had to yokies Baxter pass in 2011 I was home mom and my stepdad we to play cards Baxter was fine played but when my stepdad got him Baxter jump up on his lap and pass away he was 5 and then there was Opie he was 16 when he pass away in Feb 2015
And now I got trixi got her from pal animal shelter
My teacup Yorkie sadly passed away at the long age of 18 we had her since she was 2years I miss her very much because she was always there for me. I’ll never forget the day

We bought one after trained bought another..they listen and they get along so very well. Every day is so special. I never yell at them. I have a calm talk with them and it's wonderful. They can be very smart. They even bring their toys back in house after playing in the inside patio. They make us laugh and are compassionate. Be careful not to shut a door on them as they go in and out of rooms. They always love to learn new things. IF you get one or just keep in mind..be patient and I get the tiny mini milk bones to reward them. Don't over feed them....just like kids..don't over do it. Enjoy.

I love my yorkie ❣ His name is Little Man and he is 12. He has 2 pitbull sisters that adore him to bits!! He gets away with everything with the girls and he knows that he us 100% in charge. I take him kayaking all of the time and he absolutely loves it!!! Yorkies are very special dogs❣🐾🐾🐾💖🦋
Just got a Yorkie, I've been a big dog person all my life,( Dobie, Mastif, Rottweiler), but this little sqirt has captured my heart in a very short time. They are so right in so many ways. Kilo, was only 2.2 pounds when we got him (thus his name), but he is so precious to us in his character and personality.

I've had three yorkies growing up. Two girls: Coco and Chloe. One boy: Max. They were all very sweet and lovable. It's been long ago since they passed and I miss every second of it.

Totally agree- they are fabulous dogs - mine is 9 years old but thinks he is a pup. I have a poodle as well and they play together lots. Lovely little dogs.
My Yorkie is a demon in disguise.BUT we still love her.
Mine looks so cute ....but don't try and put your fingers in the car window...a couple of people made that mistake and despite warnings that she would snap lived to regret it . ..if I take her out of the car shes totally different .its HER car when shes in it!

I've always been a boxer guy, , I've had 4 of them and ALL were VERY dear to my heart,,, I didn't want anymore dogs when I had to put my last boxer down at 17 years old due to really bad health issues,,, then she brought my lil Jax home one day,,, he's my lil 6.5 lbs of love and joy,, my lil buddy-bud for life,,, and hate not having him with me,,, the greetings I get as I walk through the front door from work are true blessings,,, he has stole my heart and I'm SOOO happy because of it...
1. The tongue!! My yorkie lies around with his tongue out. It's so cute!
2. He's so smart!
3. He's so cute!
4. He let's me know who's home by how he acts.
5. He makes me laugh! On purpose!
6. He rearranges his bedroom every other day.
7. He is a lap-dog.
8. He loves baths!
9. He lets me give him medicine or eye drops with no issues.
10. He can tell when I'm not well.
8 and 9 were the biggest surprises for me when I rescued mine. I'm used to Poodles and Maltese dogs and those breeds are horrible for giving them care. But my Yorkie resigns himself to it, let's me finish his treatment fast so we can do other stuff and is always looking a lot better than my Maltese.

I have a Teacup Yorkie. Chuck! He is exactly how you describe. Very smart, loyal, clean, loves to play. He is as loved in my home as can be. He truly is part of the family. Forever puppy. The best dog I've ever had! You are 10 times right!

Hi, my Gordo passed away last year that was 17 yrs old. You wouldn't know it except his hearing wasn't as good but he was still so playful. 💞
I've grown up with yorkies, had 4 myself & there have been about 5 more in the family.
I love dogs in general but these bundles of love will always hold a special place in my heart. Each one is unique but still carries the typical Yorkie traits for excitement & sass.
One of my two little ones started completely on her own jumping onto my bed & licking my face until I get up at the same time every morning. She's my new alarm clock lol.

Memory. I take him on a half hour walk only the backwards way and he still remembers a month later which house had the dog in the yard and keeps looking back to see if that dog is out in the yard again.

Lost our little girl back in Sept. She was such a rascal; so much personality and character! She would take on a bear for us if required.
I married into a Yorkie 13 years ago. We have three now. Awesome pups! We live in the woods, these pups are hunters and lovers and love their people.

My yorkie extremely loyal ! She loves to follow me around going up and down the stairs. She does make sure she’s careful. She is the daughter of my old yorkie who passed a few years ago but it’s like she’s still with me since i have her daughter. It is so cute because most of my family has gotten a yorkie from us when we had our old dog. My kimber only weighs 2 pounds so she cannot have puppies way too dangerous.
I am older and have had many dogs of all breeds mostly large dogs . We currently have a 5 year old female yorkie and i have never had a better dog. Everyone of the 10 reasons are true. We love ours beyond words or measure and will never again be without a yorkie. Fabulous loveable practical breed.
I don’t think i can get a yorkie..my parents are challenging me, i have to get a million points to get the dog, like behaving and stuff, i wanna be confident but..its gonna be quite a challenge...
It definitely is gonna be challenging, 90% of the first time owner (including myself) feel we are ready for a dog but we realise if our decision is right only after we get it.
Don't get me wrong, I love my dog and wouldn't change anything but sometimes I wished if I would have waited until my education is complete I could dedicate more time to the dog and give him a better life he deserves.

Fuck parents, these are fools. If you have and love a dog, it helps a lot in raising and growing up. And if you're old, it's too late to learn love from York.

My life didn't begin until I got a sick Yorkie 3 years ago. I got a male one last December that escaped and run over by a car right in front of my eyes. There was nothing I could have done to prevent it. I just couldn't bear it and I'm still missing my boy terribly. Last week I got a 6-week old boy and I adore him, he follows me around the house, he loves me and I look forward to a great life together. The first female Yorkie I have does not accept him yet but she will come around eventually. If you want a true loyal friend for life, get a Yorkie.

@@kyproset my yorky is 14 don't know how long I will have him for tbh he's in good health touch wood when I say it's my yorky it's its my familys yorky as I am not in a good place I carnt give him the love and attention he needs so I sent him back to me mums 😭

My fox terrier died agef 13 years at the end of November. My friend found a rescue yorkie that needef a good home and loys of traiming. She has been with me a month,she is hard work but has also brought a ray of sunshine into my life! Love your videos,they are funny and informative.😊

I just lost my Yorkie to cancer. They are truly loving and loyal. There is such an emptiness without her in the house. I will surely get me another one.
I have a silky terrier that is from Australia. The Yorkie is from Great Britain. They were both bred to do the same thing and they both have coats that are so close to human hair that is very hypoallergenic. Yorkies and silky both were bred to do the same thing. And that is catch rats and they're very good at it cuz you're so quick. And they are the most beautiful and playful dog anywhere I have ever seen.

Always a puppy...My boy is 10 and he still runs and grabs a toy when someone comes to the door. He is my forever puppy. Buttons is his name.
Aww... when I was a teen back in the 90’s, I had a yorkie. His name was Buttons as well. We loved him to pieces. Unfortunately, he got out of the house one day when my mom was leaving and he was run over by a car. When we got home from school we learned that he died from his injuries. I cried like crazy and have never forgotten him. I was recently blessed by my husband with a Yorkie boy pup and I named him BJ in honor of Buttons. It stands for Buttons Jr. 🥰

I have 3 Yorkies - 1 standard size and 2 miniature, Beau, Bleu and Prince. Mine don’t have tiny appetites though - they LOVE their food! I love my babies - they never leave my side and they wind up my Macaw, Bentley something terrible lol - he now barks like a dog!

I have experienced difficulties too with getting him potty trained. Toy breeds usually take a little longer but with consistency they learn!

I have had all sorts of pure-bred dogs, go my first Yorkie a little over a year ago. I wan astonished as to how smart they really are, which I didn't know. That pup knew his name before the week was out!! Never had any dog that did that.........ever. So yes, they are really smart.

It's true, what he said , I didn't know it until he said it, I always would say to my wife or children did you feed the puppies or did you take our puppies out to potty or did ya take the puppies with you, or for a walk, we all have said or most of us I wish they could stay small, puppies, that's why I love my babies, (puppies) and they show me love also, and my Yorkies are 12 year old and the momma is 15 years old! And she still acts like a puppy, she'll make 20 year old easy, if the Lord doesn't come back before then 😊
