    Something I learned recently from a biology teacher is that when plants leaves are whiting they take back the nutrients so I would reccomend leaving on the leaves that are only a bit yellow until the stem gets softer then taking them off so the plants can suck up that extra nutrients! But otherwise I love your content keep it up!

    “If it’s not green make it leave”… I am beginning to realize that maaaaaaybe my colorblindness is a deterement to my desperate efforts to keep plants alive.

    • @sandy_carpetsthesecond5013
      @sandy_carpetsthesecond5013 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Eh, the yellow isn't what you need to focus on, it's other signs, such as strange spotting on the leaves, strange textures, or wilting and crisping especially if it's across the whole plant.
      The yellowing makes it more likely to attract pests, but it's fine for as long as you're straying on top of your pest checking.

      Sometimes, you need more indirect sun. Or depending on your location and climate, you could stick it outside for some sun and humidity! The fenestrations usually come from the older leaves, and can take a while to show up. Especially when propagating. You start all over

    • @BlondeQtie
      @BlondeQtie ปีที่แล้ว +2

      i read that the „fenestration“ only occurs if the plants feels good and matures well. either yours is too young or some conditions aren’t optimal.

    • @sandy_carpetsthesecond5013
      @sandy_carpetsthesecond5013 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      One. Do you have it on a support? Two, are the aerial roots facing the support and the petioles facing towards the light? Three, are all the stems facing in a similar direction?
      If it's a no to all of those, you'll need to do a top cutting, reroot them and organise them against a wide support like a plank or moss pole with their aerial roots against the pole and their leaf petioles facing towards the window.
      Check out "Kill this plant" if you're still confused, he has a lot of good advice for monsteras.

    Lol I just did that too. I am looking for a bigger pot to put mine in because it had massive piles of peat moss and was got too wet in the rain and started turning so I separated into three pieces I put one in the fish tank that had the biggest roots and the others that I cut off pieces to grow roots or in a vase. Left one in the original pot with two leaves, but one is damage so I left it until it does some more growing.
