You have like probably the 2nd or 3rd most sold game of modern gaming sitting at 57 million and not having a 60fps patch on current gen is just a big joke.

they are busy making new dlc for gta v
They will patch it eventually. It will be called remastered and will come with 60 buck price tag.

@erkimann what's messed up to me is I bought this game day 1 on the ps4, just couldn't get past the first few hours because the gameplay was so incredibly sluggish. Had no clue about 60fps at the time, but that would definitely help.

@@jjsavior Game will never get an 60fps update since it got xbox one x enhanced/ps4 pro on 4k 30fps, it cant handle 4k60fps probably on current gen.
@@jjsavior PS4 pro version is 1440p, xbox one x native 2160p 30fps.
Sony really needs to implement system wide fps boost.
It has to be agreed by the publisher first, but I agree that Sony should do more for fps boost on back catalogue games.
@@cun7us yes I know but it’s silly that RDR2 looks better on previous gen Xbox One X than PS5. Sony has a lot of clout with developers, get these games frame rates unlocked and let people enjoy the games they own in the best way possible.
It's sad that next gen consoles don't even play this game at 60fps. Glad I have a PC.

A 60fps update is all we need for this masterpiece.
Got this on both systems, that XBSX bc XB1X version is just night and day graphically due to the 1X native 4k.

I played and finished RDR2 on the PS4 Pro and loved it masterpiece. I would love to revisit and play it again on my PS5 just waiting and hoping that someday Rockstar will release a PS5 60 fps upgrade for the game.
There's only one reason they won't update it to 60fps... so they can sell it on the next re-release.
I'm not sure if it's my brain playing tricks but the only game that gets a pass for being 30 fps is rdr2. I tried playing cyberpunk, the witcher, ragnarok.. Etc on graphics mode and they all look stuttery n weird but rdr2 is just smooth n the vibe is slow n beautiful. Maybe it's because that's my only option but I really think Rockstar has a way of making solid experiences in whatever frame rate they opt for.
Around 1600p yeah. The pro runs exactly half of 4K resolution: 1920x2160. It doesn’t look that good compared to the one x version which runs at full fat 4K

Can someone help/explain to me why mine is not as smooth as this at all on ps5? I have a pixio gaming monitor that is capable of running 120 hz at max 1080p. I know that this game only runs 30 but mine is very sloppy, washed ouf, and inconsistent. Please help

it looks more blurry than on the serie s, which is sad because i upgraded from the series s to ps5 and wanted to play this game but it seems its not really worth it
Playing this on ps5 has proformance issues. The npc's lag switch, repeat actions and etc.
I agree this game is a masterpiece, if rockstar were able to release this in 2018, that’s 6 years ago, I can’t imagine what GTA 6 will be like , gta 6 will the biggest launch in the history of gaming, 2 billion dollar budget , but sadly we recently had news it might be delayed to 2026 unfortunately.

It's not the resolution or the framerate that's the biggest problem with the ps4 version of the game. It's the textures. They are so low quality that it makes the game look bad. If only they could improve the textures and unlock the fps on ps5, it would be enough for most people.

How do you get away with storing such a massive ps4 game on your ps5 hardrive? I was under the impression that even after you delete ps4 games. The space still remains used on your hardrive. So if you delete a 60gig ps4 game. Your hardrive will still be missing 60gigs of unusable space.
I thought the only way to do it without issue is to play the game on an external hardrive. And if you have it on your ps5 ssd, you will have to completely wipe or reset your ps5 to get back that space.
I installed all of my ps4 games internally and noticed that the white bar was huge basically stating that ps4 games use other memory aswell!! So all i did was move them to an external drive and my internal went back to how it was before with hardly any of the white bar used
i don't know if it's just me but i downloaded rdr2 on my ps5 and the framerate is kinda bad and slow...

You'll be able to get the PS5 version at a discounted price when it eventually comes out- silver lining. But yeah you got caught in the trap. It's only 30FPs.

The Series X version looks sharper. This looks more like 1080p.
No wonder, the One X/Series X version runs at native 4K resolution, with no upscaling of any kind.
I remember being stunned at the sharpness/clarity of the game when I played it on the One X back in 2018.
The ps5 runs the ps4 pro version of red dead 2. It’s 1440p

@@strider775ive seen a few places over the years where people have been able to hack their ps5's and get this to run at 60fps. So yes it can run at 60fps on a ps5.

Love the game but it’s soo long and some times the open world feels boring sometimes but it’s a beautiful game but I’m not into cowboy games
