@@janicemcculloch654 well I DID buy the MC but it cost me £11 plus the mohair so £15 ish. But I don't like spending too much on the MKal incase it's awful 😂 x
What a great idea to use a gradient! Works great with this shawl so far. You can also use your mohair in a boring main color section and give that some extra structure.
Hi Kelly Hope Terry's op went ok and he's now back home 🤞. A very good idea to use your advent minis, it's looking very pretty 😊 Don't know how you knit a pair of socks in a weekend!!!?? xxx
@@dorothy2030 Hi Dorothy! His op went well. He was home by dinner time! (Northern dinner time so around 12pm) Crazy! I'm loving the minis so far. And well ..because I had to. I did knit A LOT! 😂 Xxx
I have colours picked out, but I haven't bought the pattern yet. I wanted to see how it looked first. So far I really like it. I've watched the second part too. I was just wondering, since you started a bit late, how many hours did it take for you to finish the first clue? I love your colours. It's going to be really pretty.
I don't blame you for holding back. The last couple of years haven't been great. Erm... I'm not entirely sure but I did spend a couple of days only working on this so I could catch up. I would say each semi circle takes around 1.5 hours, then each join is around an hour or so. It will depend on your own personal knitting speed too of course. Once it's joined together, the row is long, it's 350+ sts so each row takes a good 15 minutes or more. Take your time with it though. I rush because I need to keep up for blogging, but you don't have to do it that way. X
@RowRowandKades thanks. I wasn't going to rush, but I was hoping to make a bit of headway and catch up a bit. That sounds doable anyway. I don't care if I finish with everyone else, but I dont want to be months behind either, which I think I would have been with the one from 2 years ago..
Your colours are looking great. As I’m a newbie to the MKAL I wonder if you can share a link to the discord group (also new to discord). I have downloaded the app. Many thanks 🙏
@@suemateos1437 aww thank you. Yes of course! The discord group is just my own personal one but there's over 200 members and lots doing the MKal. Here is the link to join us: discord.gg/rwESzRJc It's a very welcoming group and if you need any help, just shout up xx
I may have an uncommon opinion, but as I sit here covered in tiny mohairs (I’m not even using it today) I think it’s overrated. 😒 I’m now trying to decide if I’ll use it again when suggested, or if I’ll try to cut it out of the one section I’ve used it in. 🤔
I love that you've used the yarn you have and not been tempted to buy yarn specifically for this project. I have more yarn than I'll ever knit 😜

O, I love how yours is turning out with all those mini's ! ( and sweet how your cats made an appearance on your show as well )
Aww thank you. Yes my new cat is never far away. He's lovely. He's on my knee right now 😂❤️
There is something therapeutic about watching you sort the colours snd also seeing Dax breathing 🥰
@@mummyevans2 aww I know. I thought it might be weird because it's sped up so his breathing is fast, but he's such a cutey

I'm knitting my pale pink mohair with my CC which is white in clue 2, doing option 2 as dislike option 1.
Ooooh that sounds nice. I thought about mixing up option 1 and 2 but I'm not sure. So far, I've done a bit of option 1 but I like a bit of brioche.
