- Mare is a young widow sharing her journey in daily vlogs. Mare has a son, Thomas, who is deaf and on the Autism Spectrum. In June of 2017 Mare's husband Jeremy committed suicide after battling depression and anxiety for years. They shared their story for a couple years on this TH-cam channel.
Mental health, self care, women's health, special needs and being true to yourself are VERY important to Mare. She strives to include helpful content every day as she uploads six days a week.
Mare created the Mareathoner community, a place where she makes sure everyone feels less alone.
Mare left a decade-long career in radio to start her own business in 2016, Redhead Mare Media. She lives in BC with Thomas.

First time commenting Mare, but I had to after shedding tears as I watch this. I'm a mom and a Speech Pathologist and hearing this makes my heart happy! It's a huge deal! Keep doing what your doing.. You have made great decisions and I'm sure you will continue to do so! You are Thomas's best advocate. Listening to you speak as a parent of a child with autism reminds me of why I chose this field and frankly it also reminds me to always consider the parents perspective:). The process can be long, but it's moments like this that will continue to pop up and make you proud.. Which I know you are already! Way to go Thomas!

Hes 6 and never been able to talk he never lost his words they where never there but slowly but surely they are getting clearer and clearer, harry and arthurs dad left years ago and its sad but all he needs is you !

I believe that each child has an area in their development that requires attention and support.
There are many unique and gifted people that will do their very best to offer Thomas the therapy that he requires. You are correct in saying that all that you can do is choose persons as wisely as you can and go from there. I am sure that you will be amazed with the outcome....trust in that!
