Your video are great! Just one thing: The time delay control should have the wire cut for it to work. The wire looks intact on that unit which bypasses the time delay. It looks like the installers overlooked it. Having it work would have saved a lot of wear and tear on that compressor.

I think mechanical pressure switch is better we can adjust any pressure we want

Its never just one thing. Nice job.

It was pumped down short cycling.
Bad time delay most likely. That time delay should not allow the other leg to contactor for whatever time it’s set for. Those scrolls don’t like to pump down especially when the low pressure switch is close to the body like that

Yeah the time delay wasn’t operable at all. Failed closed. So no telling how long it had been beating up the system that way.

A good time delay would have masked the problem that you found.
Please follow up with what kind of outdoor rated fan set up you go with!

What is the max cut-in pressure you can have before oil or too much oil starts migrating to the compressor?

On a tecumseh ak 4460 co worker put line 115v on the neutral side on compressor relay and plug in to out let and made clicking noise will not start , do u think replacing relay might work ? Or compressor winding burn ? Any experiences thanks

    Short cycling painful towatch

Scrolls will lift the plates and release the discharge gas into the suction, sound like you nailed it with a bad pressure control. But it is a terrible engineering design and they should have a adjustable LPC

I couldn’t believe there wasn’t one. To me those disc units are safeties not everyday controls…. Says the guy who installed another disc 😂

    Short cycling is bad
