  • Co-Axial Master Chronometer 38mm. Comparison to Rolex.
    Purchased from Brent L. Miller, a very reputable and friendly authorized dealer.
    I was not asked to post a review, but I highly recommend visiting Brent L. Miller for any Omega, Tudor, or Grand Seiko purchase. Brad is extremely knowledgeable and approachable.

    You criticized rhodium hands/indices over white gold but Rhodium is much more expensive. I own the 41 AT and purchased it over the date just. There is a good $2000 difference and I believe a better watch. I understand your clasp criticism but I find it very easy. I think you did a great job !!reviewing this model. Thank you for your work!

      Interesting point. However, the gold indices on the dj are solid, whereas these are rhodium “plated.”

    An entry level IWC Mark XX with steel bracelet is cost 6150 with basically no applied dial fishing (just a print sunburst) , no display case back, no much of polishing and case finishing. By comparison, omega still provides a lot value. Best comparison definitely will be Rolex Op, which has less case and dial finishing, better materials and bracelets design and higher price but holds better in value. The dial of this new omega is a show of the watch 🎉🎉🎉

    • @sc1
      @sc1  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good points. The red dial is the main attraction of this Omega. The transparent case back is a plus, as is the METAS certified movement. But it’s a SHINY watch. And the clasp is not great.
      If there were a red dial New OP36 available at the AD, I would prefer that hands down. Better clasp, brushed oyster bracelet, dependable movement, white gold surrounds, value retention.

    The date wheel framing was redesigned last minute, pushing back production significantly. I've never seen Omega do a thing like that, perhaps they were under a lot of pressure to get too many new models out at once, when this and the Speedmaster 57 were announced.

Show your interest in the brand, I am sure you have told them about your Rolex collection and that you are now focusing on Patek. @@gregsaga682 Yes, I talked about my Rolex collection with the AD owner (I wore in my Blue Sky-Dweller and Full Yellow Gold Daytona at my two visits), and I said that I'm ready to move on to a higher quality tier watch. He commented that I already have some hard-to-get Rolex pieces.
      I mentioned that the blue dial on my 5205G looks even better than my Sky-Dweller. But he is also a Rolex AD, (and he was wearing a White Dial Steel Daytona) so I'm not sure if he took that kindly. (He said it's a matter of preference.)

    Btw rhodium is the most expensive metal in the world. It's worth 15x more than gold. AP and patek (the gold standard) don't use 904L steel so why would Omega? 904L isn't harder steel it's only more corrosion resistant but, much harder to shape. Not a good choice for lyor lugs.

    • @sc1

Also the aggressive price increases of Omega are decreasing the bang for the buck.
