No doubt and you don't ever slingshot pull, either that old Ford will pull it without ever breaking 3000rpm, taught the line and ease on gas until resistance then keep adding throttle as needed, if dug in like this video shows then try from opposite direction, that way stuck truck driveline thats angled won't work against you, pulling from the rear here likely caused rear axle to dig and could rip it out by slingshotting like this...

It's how they are treated and the maintenance is done. I've had ford dodge and Chevy come to my shop with the same problems. Ignorance is ultimately the deciding factor on the prevailing model!

Yep have a 1997 reg cab 5spd manual f150 500k+ miles same engine transmission replaced normal maintenance and tuneup stuff still runs like a champ just some rust and dents.

I live in Michigan and we would go to the Pontiac Silver Dome for a truck pull the whole place would be sold out. That's the America I loved the most. I didnt know ford labeled a 79 an (f350 4x4) i thought they were f250 single wheels with the dana 60 front axle,i had one of those.. i own two 79 f150 4x4 with the quad shock front ends both with the H2 rear axles(9" limited slip w/3.50 gears) one is 400 auto & the other is 300-6, 4 speed.
Looks like the original Ford Ranger full size truck, I drive an 03' Ford Ranger but the original Ranger is one tough truck especially if it has the 460 engine. I like the classic cool rims on that Ford truck. I own both Ford and Chevy trucks, I sometimes use both of them for hauling heavy loads plus other stuff and both of them get the job done 👍🇺🇸.. The ford truck was pretty dang cool, but how the heck would anyone expect it to create a miracle?? That dang Chevy was dug in deep like a tick, up to it's frame... The didn't even try digging out the tires... it was buried up to the frame.... You'd need a dang tractor to pull that Chevy out, at least in the situation it was in during the video... And even if the tractor got it out... I think the Chevy would have ended up being a little damaged as it would have been a "plow" for about 3 to 4 feet...
