  • If I could go and redo this fly, I would remove all the flash and just use buck tail. A great fly nonetheless, the AnguEELidae

    very nice..i finish mine off with a few turns of a black schlapen feather at the head wrapped as hackle like on a wet fly,,finishes it off nicely...cool flies but a pain in the ass to tie thats why i dont tie em much..i just mostly tie eel bunts or small black flatwings for eel patterns

    Just found this video despite posting it some time ago. Beautiful eel pattern and yea, it looks deadly for bass. Very nice fly.

    love your video, do you have a preferred rod/line / leader setup for throwing large flies

      I like to use a 400-450 grain sinking line with a 6’ leader of 20-25 lbs fluoro and I love the reddington predator in a 9 or 10 wt for flies like these!

    I like it but I would of used man made fibers . light and slick
