Ah what beautiful finds Christine and what a bargain! You can see how these pieces were once treasured by their previous owners and it's amazing to think they will now be treasures once again. It was lovely I could hear your birds and birds here at the same time! I love watching you go through these and start thinking about how you might use them and give them another life, you're so inspiring :)

You found some amazing pieces! I've never shopped much at thrift stores since I get weary walking and standing to look at all the treasures. Since I discovered slow stitching and the amazing things you do with bits and pieces, I will look at U.S. thrift shopping in a totally different light. Your vision is invaluable to us!

Fascinating to see your stash! That burgundy pleated pillow case looks suspiciously like one I donatated to an op shop lol

Haha I love that! I’m thinking the pleated fabric will be good to cut out shapes from like a heart for my Roxy piece. I have a large canvas to work on (the blanket from Betty’s journey to Australia) so lots of space to add many treasures 🤗 cheers, christine

Do you store your fabric and lace finds in plastic bins after washing? Do you press most items before storing?
