they started console testing on the 18-19 i think but yea its fs getting the final polish done so i think early access is gonna be from mid summer to early fall. i think early fall is most likely but not too late since we might be getting gta in november but we’ll see. it’s definitely exciting times ! great vid btw!!

They seemed in the video very eager, and ready to open it up and with console testing happening now I bet once that gets a green light they ship it. Game is now in Pre-Alpha and I believe it took them like 1 year and a half to go from pre-pre alpha to pre-alpha… Considering the next stage will be alpha (then beta which will probably be the Early Access), this release will happen in mid 2025 at the earliest, probably 6/7 months from now best scenario… also trick landings and textures are far from being finished
@BurningSpore_108 are you speaking from experience play testing? I've only seen bits and pieces of trailers and their plates highlights and those are starting to look like they are getting their final pass texturing and graphic wise. Which makes me think they are putting the final coat on

I don’t see EA releasing a Pre Alpha build as an Early Access… Usually the entire playerbase gets involved in the beta when the game is really close to be finished… as you can see from the video on yt and other leaked playtest session in December there are no textures in some parts of the map; trick landings don’t exist, skater’s movement is still sketchy and weird. This Early access won’t happen for sure until they polish these things (which will take months) Forget about Q1, Q2… Q3 maybe if we start praying but nothing will happen before summer at least imo
@@FringePatriotGaming I’m in the playtest for consoles. And I can tell you that what you are thinking is not going to happen. The playtest is still in a very very early stage, with lots of bugs and very little textures. Its a pre alpha, and at this point 2026 is much more believable than 2025.
Hmm.. march? If I had to guess I would say around May time is a slightly more realistic release window for a couple of reasons. Firstly it might take a bit more time to finish texturing the world and polishing the game to move from the pre alpha stage, but I also don't think they'll push it as far back as autumn because it will be too close to the release of GTA 6 (which would be a very stupid thing to do). Also Skate 3 has its 15 year anniversary in May, I think it would be smart for them to use that as a celebration for the fans of the franchise.
I'm playing on Series S and it's VERY good. Gameplay is smooth and physics need a little touch but overall is very playable. They'll probably launch early access in the first semester and the finished game in the second of 2025.

Typically when they slap on an early access label they stay in that state long past what people would consider a full launch. For example fortnite was saying it was still in early access in like season 8

They have said it's coming out before its finished. Hopefully it's closer to finished than not though, but with them saying early access and live service it has me a bit concerned because I agree with you I would rather the game be closer to fully complete when it does come into "early access"
