  • High-End JACO Tire Pressure Gauge's Product Review & Testing
    ===================================
    I had the luxury of being able to test 3 of the JACO Elite Tire Pressure Gauge's. While they were provided to me by JACO ( www.JACOSuperiorProducts.com ), I found them to be some of the highest quality gauges I've had the fortune to use. Perfect for use on anything from your Bicycle, to a High End Car.
    I got to test the
    Elite Series-Up to 60 PSI
    ElitePro Series: Up to 60 PSI With Air Hose
    and the ElitePro Series: 100 PSI with Air Hose
    While it may seem like any old gauge off the shelf at Wal-Mart would do the job, I beg to differ. Especially when it comes to heavier vehicles, or high performance vehicles where being a few PSI off can make all the difference in handling.
    These three gauges are manufactured to ANSI B40.1 standards (Basically, it means they are accurate!), are rugged/durable, built with Steel & Brass (Not cheap plastic WallyWorld gauges). Designed with needle hold feature, so after you check the pressure, it will hold the reading until you hit the release button, and that button also doubles as a pressure release to release air from a tire if the tire is over-inflated. Glow in the dark dial and numbers, and a protective gear style rubber bumper, to protect from drops and bumps.
    So give it a shot. High quality doesn't need to mean High price. These gauges are priced affordable.

    I have one and it reads 5 pounds too high as compared to a calibrated standard and also against three other gauges that I own. There are many complaints about these gauges in Amazon reviews. Also, the company is very deceptive. Go to the Amazon reviews and look at the Q&A section. When asked where they are made, they first say they are made in Naperville, Illinois. That's my stomping grounds and I can find no evidence that they are made there. But in another Q&A, they say they are made in China. These gauges are virtually identical, down to the packing, with many other Chinese gauges. BTW, your tests mean nothing because Jaco sent them to you. How do you know they didn't hand pick, three gauges that had readings that agreed? You're just assuming that Jaco randomly sent you three gauges. Not good! And, as for their lifetime guarantee.... nonsense. I couldn't get mine replaced. They don't even respond. It's a shame that you promote a company that is so deceptive.

    Which one is easier to use, the one with hose (elite pro) or with metal stem (elite)?

      I like the ones with the hose. Allows easier reading and reaching of tighter spaces, such as on a bicycle or motorcycle.

    These are way better than the digital, very accurate, plus dont have to worry about battery when it dies, just when you need it. I got gauges on my torches, air compressor, etc. Trust the gauge over the digital every time. The digital might give you a 40.56 PSI where as the gauge will give you a 40 PSI, so what's the difference ? All your tire shops have the gauge and never the digital. trust me. Just ask the guy that inspects your car or stop into any tire and lube shop and they will tell you what they use. It wont be digital.

    Hate to say it, but I like the digital much much better, though one has to get one of a decent quality. I am not too impressed by these analog gauges. Anything is better than nothing though! But, just like many analog gauges I've ever used they seem to read different all the time. I think the modern day requires digital. I do have to say my dad has a tire filling attachment that has a big handle on it, and a readout in the stem, it seems extremely accurate, but I think those are really expensive, (and they install onto the hose itself.) Anyway, thanks for doing this for us though.
    I see cars all night long with under inflated tires, especially now that it is cold and it just makes me shiver to see it.

      the digital really wasn't that cheap. I think the digital was around $15-20.the digital one though, almost need to put your body weight into it tonged it to seal onto the tire stem or you get a bad readinf

    what a ripoff. that was not a ups-i-let-too-much-out. that is bad engineering (ergonomics). also digital is foolproof. is more rugged. in most ways that baseline device is not just OK, it is better. those premium tire gauges are like analog wristwatches: look cool and heavy but can't even measure a pulse or how many steps have been taken. please put those in a freezer (-20c) and review them again. then drop them... 2meters. test again.

      sure, actually that would be a awesome test! I'll give it a try once my Vinny is out of the hospital.
