The only good advice against Baru is to just dodge out of gut feeling. Both Baru and Hyuji lost their native status in the Z version, mercifully considering it's already evil to deal with them in their respective fights.
I actually had the same exact theory about Zenith Baruragaru overhunting the swamp area! It's such an obvious contrast to the other Baruragaru hunts where Capcom absolutely littered the areas with status bird wyverns to give him a chance at gaining their blood status that it feels like it has to be intentional. It reminds me a lot of the hunt in Rise where the Citadel is silent and barren and littered with corpses, it just feels wrong to be in a normally bustling hunting ground only to find it devoid of life.
On an unrelated note, have you ever considered eventually making videos about Frontier's extreme individuals? I think they're really interesting, and it could be a nice capstone to the zenith series since they are arguably even stronger than zeniths. Though I also wouldn't blame you if they're too hard to fight lol, I know I'm not strong enough to fight them yet 😅
I’m okay to fight the extremes, there’s just a lot I’m not familiar with , but it’s definitely on my radar!
And hell yeah I was thinking of the Gathering of the Qurio quest, and also the Troublesome Pair in MH1. The area is completely barren and all there is is the monster to fight >:)
@@CeraCymmetry Awesome! If you did make videos on the extremes I'd have to use them as a tutorial lmao, they sure can be brutal. As it stands the zenith series is helping me out with learning the zenith fights as well, so thank you very much for your hard work!

Me and a bunch of road buddies had a particular experience with one.
Somehow it found itself in a permanent charge position and none of us had a weapon that can actually hit it without getting hit ourselves. And it was also placed in a way where you will get spawn killed.
these guides are carrying my ass through zenith monsters so thank you very much! btw as a fellow swaxe user, is it better to spam hits when you counter or to charge up your attack after the counter hit?
I remember my first exposure to this monster being a video showing it shredding up ioprey with its tongue attacks
Yeah, I love being oneshot by Vergil but tongue because I didn't dodge a roar once.

Say what you want but Monster Hunter's creature design is always top notch. Of course there are some hated creatures ( Yes im looking at you mr hip check from a mile away Plesioth! ) But the majority of creatures are greatly designed and fun too fight once you learned their attack patterns and own timing right. Im hoping we will see a lot of new monsters again in Wilds, maybe even some from Frontier! And about this particular creature Baruragaru, i guess one could compare it to Deviljho's lust for blood, constantly needing too feed too the point where if left unchecked would devastate the ecology.
Man I'm really enjoying this series, not looking forward to it ending. It's always exciting to see a new video drop.
I hope one day we see this creepy leviathan make a comeback. It'd be a nice substtude for khezu.

Love this guy because Z1-2 fights respectively are so fun, and has an awesome switch axe with a good z skill. But, man does the Z3 fight suck- the damned sped up tongue aoe

If the blood infused attacks decrease a melee weapon's sharpness, what does it do to bow and bowguns?
Destroys the weapon and forces you to fight with your bare fists.
Your loaded bullets and coatings erode. No, I'm not making it up but I wish I did
@@AscalonFI77 That's a big detriment for Bowguns, but not really so much for bows. That is unless Frontier maybe had some unique mechanic/skills which worked with coatings or had unique useful coatings that were strong or meta defining.
Maybe if it made every other arrow fired at it bounce off it like with an ED's aura doing little or no damage it would be a more adverse effect.
This was the one Zenith everyone said was a downgrade compared to the original, can’t say I disagree after seeing the moveset.

Genuinely hideous design as it is bloody brilliant for that exact notion, I'm still very thrown off by it's jagged appendages on the side of it's already ugly face. If you ask me, remove those and Zenith Baruragaru is perfect to be called a monster.
