Yes, I do think this monster looks good. Yes, Zenith Poison is a hateful condition and will slam you into the dirt. Yes, this is the Zenith Espinas video, where Frontier decided to place their beloved flagship on a new diet of sink water, crack, and some sort of radioactive isotope with a half life of fuck you. Hope you enjoy the video!
Excuse me, Cera, but do you perchance have a stream archive somewhere? If possible, I'd like to see it, as I'm curious about the hub world stuff. I wanna write a story that involves it, but there's very little useful information on the wikis. Thank you.
One of the reasons I think this design works well is because regular Espinas is a very humble and toned down design. It’s just a big green dragon covered in red rose thorns. So rather than going way too far, adding some more exciting details just brings Espinas up to the same level as a non-Zenith flashy monster. It’s no more showy than something like Gore Magala or Zinogre.
The funny thing about that ultra antidote is that it works with every Z status, but only in Hunter's Road and this is because it's a quest consumable. It's very handy to gather these if you planned to do a 100+ run with friends
You can clearly see the flaming espinsas inspiration in this one like the big nuke that leaves a poison cloud behind it or the horn drag that's really cool Espinas and flaming espinsas were really good editions to rise I just love everything about their fights so if they decide to bring back something similar to zenith espinas to the main series I will welcome it
MH Wilds Wishlist; Every Z-Status. I am one of the aforementioned Lobotomy survivors. Edit; Z-Speenas is peak Zenith design. It's not *too* overdesigned but takes the base features and grows them out in a (mostly) logical way.
I love his design, and I love how his zenith weapons look, just disappointed that there is no hammer counterparts, I mean, imagine a zenith rosenunwetter, it being lites normal hammer, but the horn being like zenith esphinas horn and the spikes being the same purple hue
@@stiflash I fought a Frontier Espinas recently, thinking I was prepared because I fought him a bunch in Sunbreak. It'll be a bit stiffer and more janky sure, but it won't be that bad right? Wrong. I was not prepared. Took him down, but it took me three attempts at the quest.
i was watching your video and at one point i was wondering how will look like a zenith primordial malzeno and im wondering what zenith espinas armor look like
I am on the opposite, I started to love Espias A LOT since release of Sunbreak but this look... just makes my boy ugly. It's like it has a resident evil parasite on it's face, would love to see a more "natural" growth on it's body tbh.
@@athos9293 "mutation" is such a broad concept that it could easly avoid looking like a cancer growth on the face. Mutation can be even a change of color of skin, it does not need to look like a tumor. I think no matter the background, it makes original design uglier.
@@woahmamaAnd the lore behind all Zenith Monsters is that they were *born* deformed, also why they never get to reproduce or interact with others from their species
@@athos9293 This is only confirming that while the lore is interesting, the execution is just ugly or dumb usually. The thorny plant growing on it is super on the nose and looks dumb. Yes game, I know his look is based on thorns and roses, you don't need to put actual plant on it's whole body. That also is not helping the whole design, as it's too "busy" with it, and I don't see a reason why plant would choose to grow on this specific specimen and not normal ones. I like the dented new shapes of spikes on the back but the head is just ugly, and not in a sense "deliberate ugly" it's just dumb looking, spikes growing out of the spikes. It does not seem to follow anything natural in design so while the backstory is sad and quite cool, it uses nothing visually to symbolise that. It's just over the top, it turns espinas into a World of Warcraft dragon instead of making it look like a mutated induvidual with issues. The backstory is also similar to what we got later - Scorned magnamalo that also can't reproduce and has changes because of it, and is also very close to being one of the most messy visual redesigns ever made in mainline.

Dear gog that area you're fighting in towards the end of the video is GORGEOUS and matches Espinas perfectly
One of my favorite monster designs. Also based Yakuza music
Did not expect to hear Reign from Yakuza 0 going into this one
Do I hear a little Django Django in there? Fuck yeah Cera

Zenith inagami next! Its my 100% favorite!
Definitely a badass design
Why did they put the succubus womb tattoo on Z Espinas though?
This Zenith is perfect
I cant really come to love the zenith designs just yet, i do like espinas though, love these videos, im always excited for the next one.
lives up to the legend. sad we didnt get this form in rise
Zenith Espinas was different
I do Hope Epinas Rare Species shows up in a Future monster hunter game so we can get the special Bond Attack that it and Flaming Espinas has
Only thing i hate about Zenith espinas is that his dang membrane for his weapon never drops XD
Aw hell no not zenis espenis
also nice guilty gear music ;)

I like zenith espinas but I just don’t like the weird horn on him.

Thank god we got the kindergarten version in sunbreak, would've whooped our asses otherwise

It’s interesting to think that if the zeniths fights were toned down they would make awesome deviant monsters in mainline games.

honestly i'm just really disappointed zenith espi isn't just the base design, such a waste of a sick horn :(

But Zeniths are mutaded individuals, so this asymmetrical growth makes sense
