Interested to know how the 3D printed helmet fits when you put a cap on underneath it as I naturally have to redial in the helmet adjustment pending cap material thickness for summer or winter or no cap etc.
We tested the helmet in the winter with a range of cycling caps and beanies - works like a charm. The pads retract into the helmet so your headwear takes up all the excess space in the helmet minimizing airflow and keeping your head warmer in the winter.
I jumped in on KAV's kickstarter and they've sent me two "fit caps" to test the fitment of my helmet. I tested it with just hair, my winter beanie, my training mask (neoprene that goes around the back of my head) and my sweat gutter headband. The contact points are very accommodating. It did fit tighter, but still usable.

I'd like to try that Abbey Tools handlebar alignment tool. Probably works great for compression plugs. Star fangled nuts are rarely inserted perfectly straight (even with a guide), so I'm curious how much that would translate to margin of error over the whole tool's length.
Yeah I was wondering the same thing, none of those are straight enough to provide an accurate point of reference. By the time you go down to the bars, even a fraction of a degree out will be noticeable.
How much for the giant 3D printed helmet? Probably still wouldn’t be enough protection from cars around here, but at least they would struggle to buzz you.
