The East African Legislative Assembly has raised questions about South Sudan's stay in the East African Community, deeming it illegal. The legal status of South Sudan comes after the country failed to domesticate the East African community treaty as a final step that grant a new member full membership. This revelation emerged as the committee on legal, rules and privileges tabled a report on the country’s status in the implementation of South Sudan into the community.
