It appears that the company may not have had "warm & tan" shades prior to the young Lady mentioning her interest. With new shades, it may not be as easy for all people to "eyeball & select" one perfect match without trying several options. I will give you an example. Within our family we have multi-racial & multi-ethnic (French/ Mulatto, etc.) females who have very fair skin- to those with warm tanned skin, & all shades in between. We have always enjoyed their complaints about makeup shades being a tad bit off/ or not having enough choices to consider. Of late, they are happy with brands that have shades galore- as options to consider. Sometimes, they must mix shades to create one that blends well. For us, our skin tone is fair during winter months & sun kissed during summer months which means that they actually have "waaaay too many" shades of makeup. 😄. So- you are not wrong & I do not have to be right. I also think that this makeup company was strategic in 'advertising their rollout of shades' by making a content creator happy; it was a brilliant move on their part- in my opinion. In regard to wastefulness of the items that the young Lady cannot use, we can only hope that she will donate the excess items to a Women's Shelter, or a Women's Advocacy Group, or another worthy cause. Thank you again for your response; please reply anytime. Kind regards.
@@Ghosted710 for normal people it’s hard to match your exactly skin color through a screen, depending on the light can change the color greatly. Since they’re making new shades why don’t send all of them and avoid to ask for more light or dark shades? Koreans love to give samples, their marketing works like this and I know they are sure she has a lot of tanned friends to give her spare samples and that’s also a form of advertising. Happy customers recommend good products to their friends and family and those to their friends like a snowball effect
That first pat on your face made me literally gasp aloud. Like the INSTANT filter effect is incredible. Love seeing beauty brands be one more inclusive. It makes me so happy to see black girlies finally being acknowledged as important too in the beauty industry! I myself am SUPER pale and have a hard time finding my shade too (especially with the right undertones), but I'm positive it's nowhere near what black women go through. So cool to see what Darcei has been able to do and change in the beauty industry. What an icon ❤
Omg your comment is literally me!! I gasped in happiness for her! I also am super pale and have like a cool gray undertone so a lot of stuff looks too yellow or orange or pink
I've seen this company a few times in some other videos similar to this, but it was someone with what seemed to be albino, they seem really cool. they seem to work a lot with their clients and genuinely want to create good product! :) i hope they keep up the good work, glad you found a shade that matched!
The fact the korean makeup industry is expanding for darker shades is actually such a huge step up in the korean makup industries, because its all just white shades or a bit darker shades for the norm, so having these dark shades is such a relief and a big step up we all needed
Yeah it's surprising because attitudes in Korea towards people of colour aren't the most enlightened. I once worked for a school that abandoned a Canadian teacher because they were angry that they didn't know she was black (and overweight) before hiring her. And I'm in Korea right now.
IM SO HAPPY ABOUT INCLUSIVE SHADES!!! i’m not black myself, but i am a very tan hispanic and i often can’t find good korean makeup, but now im super happy with my tirtir foundation
NOW THIS. This is how we need brands to respond!!! I love how they addressed the public’s concerns and GOT TO WORK on creating more!! Cant wait till they broaden their range for those of darker skin tones too!! SO excited it worked for you!!
I'm Korean and I didn't find a concealer shade that matched me until Bobbi Brown was popular brand. I'm so glad these companies are listening for once. It's a win-win situation so idk why people are poo-pooing on them expanding their shade range lol
@@_maus You really think Tir Tir was negatively pressured by an influencer? The creator of Tir Tir was originally an influencer and now the brand is super popular in Korea and Japan. I highly doubt being more inclusive was the result of 'cancel culture', they make enough money as a company to withstand imo valid criticism.
I’m American white girl and I’ve NEVER found a shade in Korean skin care, and I don’t expect it either. It’s funny to me that American black women are hustling Korean makeup brands like Korea doesn’t already exclude every single skin tone outside of Korea. It’s annoys me that creators make videos like this expecting for niche unique cultured markets to fulfill their shade and call it “non inclusive” when they don’t. 🤦♀️ I feel protective over Korea.
That's what she said, though. The darker shade is too light for her and she likes the brand so she's happy they're expanding towards more skin tones. Also, I'm sure there's Korean people darker than that shade, even if they aren't brown.
Don't be afraid. Try it and ask for help. It's how we learned in school. None of us exploded into the World writing English. Words are harder because you have tons of choices for what you want to say. Practice and find some good partners that will help you get better. 🤔😄😃
The foundation from them clearly has red undertones, I don't know why so many people can't see that but it's very obvious. And there are people with skin that dark.
Because the center of our faces is usually naturally lighter. It was a perfect match everywhere except the perimeter...which is where people tend to contour anyway, so that's why it worked out in the end. I used to always buy a darker foundation for the outside of my face before contour really popped off outside of the MUA world.
omg i just saw a girl with albinism work with tirtir to get her a shade match too! love to see them working with both ends of the melanin spectrum haha
All the talking about how they were "forced" to make the foundation. Yes we already understand how its asian makeup so its gonna be pale, but asians have been complaining for a long time how limited the shades are, not all asians are white.. Why do you think skin bleaching is popular? Many of you are forgetting, THEY SENT THE FOUNDATION TO HER KNOWING IT'S NOT HER SHADE, THEY ASKED FOR ADVICE ON THE SHADES, THEY MARKET THEMSELVES AS A SHADE INCLUSIVE BRAND!!! Also what is wrong with wanting to expand the shade range? They will be recognized as a foundation with a large shade range and will gather attention and money. The youthforia foundation was made in a rush because of their horrible shade range and caused outrage because it was literally black.. that's why they got cancelled, this however is made with love and care. ❤
The criticism she received from the last video was ridiculous. It’s called PR PACKAGE for a reason. This was a marketing strategy. They were already saying they were releasing more shades, sent it to a black woman (not just her btw), building interesting, and now they send the new range to satisfy that interest. To me it seems their plan is working. There are very little cushion foundations here in the west, if any. I like that they are filling that space. Most businesses want to expand. In Korea there are already so many makeup brands, so to stand out & grow, going global is an obvious choice. Hopefully they succeed.
Yeah true but it's just wasteful, she clearly isn't lightskinned so she isn't going to need light foundations unless she's going to gift? But I've never known people to gift foundation
@aliceapavlovska5254 I feel like a creep bc your comment is 2 minutes old 😭, but a lot of influencers do "giveaways" for unused products when it comes to makeup. Or nail art channels that get a lot of nail polish they won't regularly use will sell them as "gently used" on their personal websites. Idk if this is the case for her but I have seen multiple people receive the same package with all the shades and wish they would let them select a range.
@@aliceapavlovska5254 why wouldn’t she give it away? She’s a makeup creator, they get toned of free pr sent without even giving these companies permission. Many do giveaways, donate to places like women’s shelters, or give to friends and family. Because it starts to pile up.
they are a KOREAN brand, made for pale ass KOREANS. theres a gazillion other brands with darker shades, not every item is branded towards every single human being

I felt the same at first because we take our very multicultural western society for granted. Here, we DO need to expand our shades. I'm pale pale pale with a pink undertone and the palest shades here almost all have yellow undertones. It makes me feel like a Simpson. BUT a Korean company doing this in a MONTH is a damn good example of what we SHOULD be able to do. Murica and Canada (where I am) need to do better because Korean companies are coming for your market 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ at likely a fraction of the price
Koreans are a single race, so their skin colors are all similar. It means that there are not many different races like in a country like France. And among Asians, our skin is very bright. Therefore, there are few cosmetics for white and black people. Because it doesn't sell well in Korea. I am writing this comment because there were quite a few comments in the last video that drove Korea into a racist country. I translated what this man said.
Ugh same I literally gasped and started flapping my hands (I’m autistic) I just really like to see it when people are happy and everyone deserves to have good foundation that matches their skin! And it matches hers so perfectly!!! It was really cool and satisfying to see!
They sent everything just to prove they have new levels on foundations. This means they could potentially get more videos with their products and free publicity. Smart marketing strategy.

i hope they keep up the good work, glad you found a shade that matched!

Also that the darker shade actually works with the undertone and all and not just a weird black or brown non skin color
It's all about the money: there are demands, so a market, so LOTS OF MONEY to make.

Because the center of our faces is usually naturally lighter.

I love how she wasnt condescending or angry but supported them 😭❤️
Why would she be condescending xdd

Yeah ikr, they're hating the brand for not being inclusive when they're not even international so they aren't the audience
