Laneige is Korean brand and the target consumers are obviously Korean. As a corporation, on their part, there is no reason to make shades for black people online. It would be only a loss for corporations and it's natural for Korean cosmetic brands to produce products targeting their own people because no one has the same skin color as black people in Korea. According to your logic, cosmetics brands in Congo should also make shades for white people. Since there are many foreign tourists in Seoul, they are only selling foundations for actual visitors as an event. The reason why online stores do not sell them is that there is no demand like offline stores. You cannot blame Korean companies for not selling foundations for foreigners to “Korean” companies that are close to a single ethnic group and whose skin color is 21 to 23 tons.
You're missing the whole point of the video...why then are they only selling dark shades in one store in Korea? And not online where foreigners want to buy their products. K beauty is extremely popular in others countries which have higher populations of people with dark skin...so tell me why selling their dark shades online wouldn't be profitable?
I don’t know if it’s affordable to you but, I really wanted you to try some Brazilian foundations because the country is so diverse that we have a lot of types and shades.
One day they'll notice you too and maybe you'll get to see our Kim Seokjin. I hope they notice you and make darker foundations for worldwide as many more would buy then.
Or just choose another brand? If they don't carry my shade I'll just choose another that has mine, as simple as that tbh. Hence why I only use local brands in my country or Maybelline.
For me, I go to anyone brand that is affordable that has my shade. I kinda accept that there are brands that will not work for POC. However, if they do make their products inclusive, then that's great. If they don't, oh welp, I'll find another brand that does.
She’s simply expressing confusion, what’s the point of making dark shades just to refuse to sell them where dark people are? That’s the only complaint she has
Let Darcei speak up because what she’s saying is the truth. These brands from Asia want to expand into the western market but don’t think about the fact that most western countries are a melting pot of people. TirTir understood the assignment. If they only wanted to cater to Korean people which in fact for some Koreans they can’t even be properly shade matched. The brands should just keep their merchandise in Korea and specialty shops like Yesstyle. No US Sephora or Ulta.
I've been to the store in Myeongdong 2 years ago. The darkest shade they had at the time was a shade lighter than mine. And I'm about a medium deep (so around Chai in the Two Faced Foundation). I hope they've improved since then.
Why do influencers bully these Asian brands to make deeper shades? Darker skin isn’t the beauty standard there, and their Asian customers don’t have dark skin. They make products that are going to sell for their intended market. Just because olive young had made this product accessible in the US doesn’t mean Laneige has to start catering to US customers with darker complexions.
@@Yuriy99 right, let’s make dark foundations in a place where dark people barely exist! And then not sell it where they actually are! Totally not a waste of money and product at all! I definitely agree with you my sister
And even in the store, Makeup by Monica literally went there and she was among the darkest they had, and she's lighter than Darcei here. "There's no way you will not find your match" either this guy got specific ad copy he was told to read (likely) or he's telling us who "YOU" means to him.
It seems odd unless they can't afford or manage the logistics of worldwide distribution on all 150 shades. Even so only one or two online sites could open that market to the customers in other parts of the world. Crazy.

No flight to Corea Hun, bring Corea to the USA girl we with you 👐👏👏
pls spell “Corea” correctly. It’s Korea. also there is no need for Korea to go to the USA if they don’t want to. it’s their company. not everything is about the USA. and adding to that she lives in Canada.

Here we go, people lacking comprehension & being willfully obtuse in the comments.
Only people that lack comprehension is anime fans, gotcha game fans or just NEO-Naz…oops can’t say that in front of children. 😂 Oh yeah children… Don’t forget adults that only peak in high school!
@@Saralightff huh?
@@esmeraldagreengate4354 Over years I’m come to see the people that lack comprehension. It’s always these types of people. What I listed above. No matter of it’s right or wrong. Those people will find a way to make it worse.
@@Saralightff how is this about game or anime?
what drugs are you using? can you give the dealer's number?
@@Alienn-ó_ò Nope. This about people who lack comprehension. Most of time their profile picture is anime, or they play gotcha game. Or just straight up a neo-. I noticed that more and more in TH-cam comment section.
YOU'RE SO BEAUTIFUL AAAAA
Whats the lightest one ....
Gurl I can’t you don’t even need makeup you are GORGEOUS
At this point it’s just sad how so many make up brands don’t carry enough dark shades
Or they do but it’s not available to those who would need it most. It almost feels performative when the people who need the shade can’t access it.
“But we have 150 shades!!” Mmmkay.
@@kittentree198yea, kind of reminds me of like 2015-16 when that one brand (I think it was Tarte but could be wrong) came under fire for having a shit shade range of a new product, so every other makeup company decided to start flexing on them by including the entire shade range in the PR boxes.
I love their skincare. Perfect for mature skin too
I feel your pain,I’m so white I make clowns face paint look off colour, however, unlike me, I think your natural skin looks beautiful without make up. I love seeing you call out the lack of diversity and your looks, but dang it this ghost has to say girl you don’t need a thing to make you look stunning! You are a role model, amazing content creator, journalist, social advocate and so much more and I hope more people follow in your footsteps. Thank you for being so fabulous x❤ and hugs from London xx
She doesn't do this kind of content just for her but for all the black and dark skin people that follow her. And that true she has a beautiful skin but it's not the same whith makeup and she has the right to have access to makeup that suit her. I know your comment is supposed to be cute and kind but it seems a bit off to me 😭 I think it's because of the "I fel your pain, but" and "unlike me". But I know you're just complimenting her
@@alexandra8695I agree that the comment seems off, but she never said she shouldn't have access to foundation, she just said she is so pale she has a hard time finding a shade for her (yes some people are "too pale" especially people with albinism also have a hard time finding makeup).
@@Bellabirdtheoneandonly agreed for half the part cause albinos exist. the first reply is still right tho cause I read this as "oh I feel bad about you but me tho me" it feels like one of those tiktok vid talking about how she's 5'4' wearing xs size jeans and pale for the most part, then goes to say "I find it hard to find my size too but it's diff cause y'know, chubby size" yeah we need diversity. compliment is good but bragging it first? feels backhanded. no offense.
@@notsoptimistic let me apologise as that was not the intention of this post to come across as braggy, but rather to state that I understand the difficulty faced in finding a foundation, I put it this way as by my image I am obviously white, and whilst not albino foundation ranges do not extend to my skin colour either. I’m far too old to be on tick tok (I also don’t think I spelt that right) so can’t comment on your comparison but hate that there are people like this so that you read my comment as anything more than trying to show understanding of the plight to get equality in skin tones. That was all that I intended by the first half of my comment. I also follow her because I love her activism, make up looks and positivity. I think she is a fabulous role model and wish more were like her in trying to be proactive at challenging these companies rather than accepting or just whining about their inability to see past a small colour range.
This all said I’m going to stick hard and fast to my belief that she has the most beautiful skin and it doesn’t need foundation as she truly is beautiful. Whilst this doesn’t help with the quest for equality in ranges, I hope she realises that she is perfectly gorgeous without it.
As stated in my original comment I love this channel and whilst more a ghost in completion I truly appreciate all she is doing.
@@Bellabirdtheoneandonly thank you, I appreciate your comment and as you said I am at the opposite end of the skin tone range, and more transparent hence the ghost term. Colour ranges at my end just look ridiculous on me and are very obviously on me! I hope this makes sense. All that said I love her videos as she is actually doing something, rather than just moaning about it. That said I think it is only a tiny draw to her content as she is beautiful, her attitude is infectiously positive and she is fabulous to watch.
The confidence companies have while saying “we have all shades” 😭
Ok but why is the foundation gray 😂
It might have a cool olive undertone. Cause I noticed this sometimes happens on deeper/medium dark people when they have warm undertones.
A cool olive will look greyish on them usually. That being said, I'm tired of that dip💩 at the beginning of the video. Not him acting like it's nearly impossible to find your shade just cause it's easy for him!
He isn't pale/fair nor is he medium, tan or deep in complexion. He seems to have a light to light medium complexion with perhaps a neutral undertone. So many brands will cater to that a-hole.
Never liked him, he's very shady, easy to bribe and arrogant. Can't stand his zesty arrogant bribed personality while hiding the fact he only promotes brands that put him on their pr-list. He needs to sit his sorry azz down and stfu!

Because trying to put white on brown skin or dark skin will make it gray because it’s taken away from her skin tone.
@@Saralightff ah, that makes sense. I hadn't thought of it that way.
@@NatalieStarn You know when you play with saturation and desaturation. Why things look off instead of correct. Because it’s taking away from color by getting lighter in color or darker in color. In character design it’s something to look out for in art works. It’s really cool and interesting. Well to me that is. lol
The way she looked at the camera in disappointment and the way she defeatly said "yeaa.."
Got me rolling 😂
THANK YOU
@Bellabirdtheoneandonly you literally don't know their future plans and they might have a few for those who are tourists
LANEIGE is all over my feed ever since their ad with Jin came out😭
KOREANS WITH DARKER SKIN EXIST THEY DESERVE TO BE ABLE TO EASILY FIND MAKEUP TOO
I don’t know if it’s affordable to you but, I really wanted you to try some Brazilian foundations because the country is so diverse that we have a lot of types and shades.
One day they'll notice you too and maybe you'll get to see our Kim Seokjin. I hope they notice you and make darker foundations for worldwide as many more would buy then.
I love laneige neo too! But its too light for me, sometimes i “layered” with dark concealer
That’s the only complaint she has
The way he said “all you have to do is go to Seoul” like thanks for the hot tip manny
It looks green. It’s giving zombie vibes
omg I'm usually the lighest shade in foundations and that's the right match for me (I'm a neutral undertone girly)
They really should launch new shades😢😢😢😮😮
It’s the tear tear situation all over again. Can wait to see this one turns out love your videos, girl.
This is so funny because la Neige means the Snow in french 💀 accurate advertising
So it's not released in north America? That's why they don't cater to darker tones....
no, they have darker tones, but the darker tones aren't released to north america
It is insane that they won't expand their product availability to a market that would buy it mire often
First 🎉
I've been to the store in Myeongdong 2 years ago.
If ur gonna sell it outside of Korea, then you have to make it inclusive
LOUDER !!!!!!!!
@@Wheredidudropurshitno you do not, monkeys can do their own brand when they learn to count.
@@Yuriy99 right, let’s make dark foundations in a place where dark people barely exist! And then not sell it where they actually are! Totally not a waste of money and product at all! I definitely agree with you my sister
Nobody is bullying them?
And even in the store, Makeup by Monica literally went there and she was among the darkest they had, and she's lighter than Darcei here.
"There's no way you will not find your match" either this guy got specific ad copy he was told to read (likely) or he's telling us who "YOU" means to him.
American finally learns that not everything is available in the US 😱😱😱😱🤯🤯🤯🤯
Omg please make this viral as you did with tirtir so that they'll expand their colour selection globally for their compacts 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
Passport control: hello , why do you want to fly to Korea ?
People : Oh I just want some foundation….
😂
It seems odd unless they can't afford or manage the logistics of worldwide distribution on all 150 shades. Even so only one or two online sites could open that market to the customers in other parts of the world. Crazy.
miss darcei needs to work her magic with this one 😭
*it's Easier to take a ticket Taylor Swift Concert than it is to get this foundation* Make me laugh 😂😂😂😂😂
They used to sell a cushion foundation in the US that was sooooo amazing. Sad their complexion products are available in Sephora or Ulta anymore.
Me now anywhere see Laneige : Jiiiiiiinnnnn 💜
Seoul is the goat when it comes to skin and cosmetics. I love Korea! ❤
They really thought we were all gonna fly over 😭
I Love love love Laneige products and have used it for years they're at the H-Mart in they're is a cosmetic store Aritaum in Duluth, Georgia. I found it when I first moved there 10 years ago. I am more of med to dark tan brown they may have it there. I have now moved out of the country but they're products are awesome.
Gurll that looks GRAY! 😟
Yes, but that is because of Darcy’s skin undertone. It doesn’t look gray on other skin tones tho. For example this would probably be my shade because I have a more pinkish undertone and on other people it might look gray
