ShoX Sentinel - Unboxing and Review - The most overpriced drone

The ShoX Sentinel is a rebranded drone, that is produced in China, and rebranded by ShoX, who overprices it. It has two 480p cameras, one pointing down also known as a "bomber camera", then there is the main front-facing camera that can be moved up and down by hand (not with the controller). It has a flight time of up to 8 minutes, and it features 3 speed modes. The drone has a range of up to 30 meters range on the phone (via WiFi), and 100 meters only with the controllers. There is a designated app for this drone with which one can control it and use the FPV feature to navigate better, though the app has a lower range due to the wifi connection to the drone, and it has a significant delay when controlling the drone. Though I do not advise to fly within more than 20 meters from the controller. That is because one can't see the drone and the FPV will get very unreliable. Also, the drone does not have GPS, therefore, it does not support Return-to-home.

The drone is connected to the phone via wifi. You don't need mobile data to use it

Yes, you can use the drone without the app, but you then can't take pictures and videos, because you will be only using the controller. Also you won't be able to see what the camera sees.

How to launch, mine is all over the place

Firstly one has to calibrate it on a flat surface, like a table. Then one has to place it on the floor of an open space, where one wants to fly. Then one can eather do an manual, or an automatic takeoff. You can do that on one hand, or on the floor.
