    I’m a woman and I don’t doodle, do shiny stuff in it to decorate etc. I tried it for a few days, hated it and very few times I use a washi tape to mark that one day has ended and a new one has begun, but that's it. Also I am not super careful - do have to say I started last year, took a break and am back into it. But for me it’s a tool, and I use it, can save for a new one if needed and it’s broken, but it’s getting character the more you use it and accidents happen, the better it gets in my opinion! I don’t buy to baby it but to use it. Otherwise I will not use it at all. 😊

      There are some men that do doodle, and some women that don't. I guess it all depends on personality. My brain works more in straight lines and connections.

      @@Noteability Agree and it's okay! I'm sorry if I you feel like I attacked you, that wasn't how I wanted it to come over (I am dutch, my English is okay but not the best in writing). Have a nice day!

      @@Noteability Also now that I think about it: I do agree with watching TH-cam, most women decorate and men don't, that's maybe why I like watching men's perspectives on TN's more because its more like me, haha :)

      You don't need to worry at all, I didn't think for a second that you tried to attack or something else. :-)

    thank you for making this and absolutely, the men who use TN's are definitely more underserved on the video content side of things, and I really appreciate you taking the time to do this. I'm not much for a decorator and it's great to see a focused and effective set up from another man's perspective!

      Thank you. I wish more men would post their videos, tips and tricks they use.

      I agree there is virtually no content related to men using them. Mine stays open on my desk at work all day as a bullet journal with a daily journal entry at the bottom before i start the next day. I have 2 dot grid notebooks one is my collections and long term stuff and the second is my daily's that way i only swap out the dailys and have all my collections and trackers in the first book that stays in the TN.

    As another female, artist and crafter, I too enjoy the guy reviews of TNs, journals, notebooks and writing supplies (at least stuff like fountain pens as I am already a massive mechanical pencil nerd for as long as I learned to write), as well as other note taking implements. Some are just practical, others get creative with said practicality which I really enjoy and try to improve upon for myself! And I agree with you on that matter, I usually avoid those videos that look so "pretty" solely because I know for a fact (because I tried) how hard is to keep things tidy when you are meant to truly forge through your stationery day and and day out. We have too much on our plates as is, some things need to remain purely practical, especially in notetaking. What I do instead is decorate only when I feel like it, long after the fact, filling in those blank spaces to divide the text a lil better, make it easier to find said notes visually, and only for relaxation/downtime. If I do "decorate", I have maximum of 2 washi tape rolls I hate the patterns/color etc. and use solely for dividing text or taping down art pieces done on post it notes and paper scraps as was necessity, just to keep them together somewhere.

    Yep agree, not many people sharing their planners/journals/TNs that use it as a tool more so than a relaxing art project here on YT. I'm an artist but im quite like yourself in that aspect of notebooks, my notebooks arent there for decorating but to fulfill a purpose and i like to keep mine minimalist and functional so i dont waste time maintaining it and can instead use that time on my creative work. The only doodles ill include would be for ideas i want to work out later, so theyd be still functional more so than decorative. Never gotten on the TN train though, but i keep a leather Roterfaden Taschenbegleiter instead.

      @Noteability  25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I have heard a lot about Roterfaden Taschenbegleiter but never actually tried it myself. I wish I were more creative, I would, probably, doodle more... Especially while I am thinking or planning.

    I love watching the videos from a male perspective. Just a no fuss, point of view. Totally enjoy seeing all people enjoying a love of stationery. I have too many standard TNs, as I enjoy switching out the covers. I think its time to expand from just one passport TN. I was lucky enough to pick up a second hand Midori stamped TN for almost nothing and its my fave.

    I have lots of notebooks and more recently bought the Huion Note, it's a real notepad that records to your phone app in real time and allows for export to other apps to share or save files digitally. I like the travellers but they are a bit small for me to journal with as I write Quite a lot and thay are kind of pricey. It's hard to beat pen and paper but I'm comming round to the advantages of digital devices and Apps like Notion and Google drive, there's plenty of room for all my requirements and options to attatch photos. I can travel super light with Huion Note and my phone, have everything covered; and still write with a pen.

      Nice... Being a tech/gadget addict I am trying to use them as minimum as possible. But I know people that use their phone devices a lot in conjunction with notebooks

    Which Travelers passport is your original from? As in what company/ brand? I really like the leather on it and I have been looking for a good one that size.
    Edit: oh wait I think they are both Travelers company. I wasn’t awake enough to realized that. 😂 Is that right? I know many companies make “travelers” now so I wanted to make sure with the passport. Cheers

    It’s a much cheaper leather . Like everything else , starts out great and then when popularity creeps in the quality drops to make more profit .
