This is my favourite unboxing this year. I’m in love. My beautiful family gifted me this TN that I customised myself with the@baum-kuchen9512 Truly Yours customisation service. It has turned out beautifully and I’m so grateful to have been able to add this to my collection.

Enjoyed your video. I was at a garage sale a few years ago, and bought a whole leather working set with tons of leather as well. I finally got around to using the tools when I found out about travelers notebooks. I have now built four notebooks, but yours are on a whole other level. I’m going to up my game and build some really nice ones like yours. I also love Palo Santo and have been using an essential oil to scent the leather of the notebook cover before I apply the coatings. Thanks 🙏

Your customizations are lovely. I had my olive customized. I received the same pieces you did. (Card slots and zipper pouch) except I had mine placed differently as didn’t want to cover the beautiful olive patina that my leather acquired.

Very beautiful customizations. 💖Now that you have used both of your regular sized TNs for some months, how do you find the zipper pocket in the front - is it too bulky when you write in an insert? And do you find the zipper pocket too heavy or bulky in your purse?
I am considering getting almost the same customizations as you except that I will request a secretarial pocket inside at the right instead of the card holder pocket. I plan to use the TN for daily planning and notes during work and not as a wallet. But I am worried that the zipper pocket will be too bulky when I write on the left side in an insert or too heavy or big to take with me. What is your experience? 😊
It seems ok to me. I don’t keep pens in my zipper pocket though, just cash. I’ve moved my pen to a folder inside the wallet. Also, on the left side, where the zippered pocket is, I am usually writing in my Weeks which has a hard cover. But still, I think with the leather cover and the folder, there’s enough padding to not cause a problem. I used to use a TN insert and it was totally fine to write on.
The whole wallet is heavy and a bit bulky, especially with the Weeks inside. But I’ve really become used to it and it doesn’t bother me. ☺️
@@desleyjaneplans Thank you very much for your reply. 😊It sounds reassuring that you have been able to use the TNs with the zippered pocket and write in them either with the Weeks or a TN insert without a problem. Yes, I would imagine that the Weeks could bulk it up further but at the same time it would be convenient to have everything you need in one place.
@@Lucidarius00 my pleasure. Yes it’s really helpful having them all together. It’s a little big for when you want to move into a smaller handbag. But on the other hand, I can just carry my wallet sometimes without anything else.
May I ask why this brand is called Baum Kuchen and why they make notebooks? That name seems very random, because Baum Kuchen literally means tree cake and is a German kind of cake.
