- In episode 2 of Andy May's Crash Course he heads to Izaak Walton fishery to demonstrate how to get the most from your margins on mixed fisheries where carp and in particular, F1's are the target. Andy shows us how having two lines targeting slightly away from the bank and then in shallower water tight in can help you get the most from your peg.

Andy your amazing. An incredible teacher and I love your personality. Let’s catch some fishies !!!!!!!!!!!👌🏻
Excellent video and andys advice and humour is brilliant
brilliant stuff as always Andy and Preston👏👏👏
Hi Andy, great video and some top tips and techniques for this method of F1 & Carp fishing. Best regards, Wayne 😀👍
Another great video from Andy "The coach ". We'll done to all at P.I....you've bagged another good un!
When are manufacturers going to start supplying pre-tied hooks, 2 inch and 3 inch???
If your struggling to shorten down the prettied 6 inch hooklengths, from a spool of line I cut off a longish piece of line, tie it to the prettied hook length and it’s makes it less fidly when cutting them down the 2/3/4inch.
Watch Jon Arthur's video on how to tie them.... he uses a gated latch need. Much easier
A team England angler once said to me "no self respecting angler buys pre-tied hooks'.
Why on earth would anyone store 2, 3, 4, 6" hook lengths? Tie them all at 6" and spend 10 seconds shortening them with a new loop if you need.
@@takleteck7008 ive always tied my own, but i get the impression pre-tied ones are so much better now. I also dont always see the need to go to a 2/3 inch hooklength and put a shot on a longer length if needed (!) but i know thats a no-no to many
@@robintaylor7374 But why would anyone keep 2, 3, 4, 6"? That's 4 x the storage! Surely you tie them all 6" and it takes 10 seconds to shorten with a new loop before you start fishing.
Nice one Andy and Jake thanks for another brill video ✨
Great stuff, really enjoyed that!
Awesome content, as always sir! One quick question, you’ve made modifications to the Preston pots as a pro angler, why have Preston not taken that knowledge and in match experience and brought us the same product on market? 😢
Great video! Thanks Andy
Thanks andy for the tips will try your method this weekend
Very good going to try some of this out when I go fishing tomorrow
Do you prefer that way of attaching your rigs ?. Most secure way to attaching rigs. Do use it but I do a lot of tiddler fishing on canals use dacron conectors. Enjoy all your posts
Great watch ! Andy what bead do you use on the end of your elastic ? Cheers
Hi Andy, no big wobbly ones in canal pool, biggest up to about 4lb. Great video
Andys the man 👍
Another great video Andy definitely gonna try this method on my next match 🤔 Fish O 14th May 😂👍🏻
i have noticed that you dont use dacron connectors? is it a bead and elastic? :-) loving the coaching vids
I’m camping over there later on in the year with my fishing club one day we have a match then next we have a lads v dads match
if your constantly going to fish down the edge during a session would you position your rollers along the bank rather than directly behind you ?
Personal preference. It's always good to keep some angle between you and the fish so that your elastic isn't* pointing directly at the fish when shipping back so around 45 degrees behind you, from where you're fishing is about right. 👌🏼
@@Sonubaits thanks for the tip will adjust my rollers next time I'm out 👍
@@michaelgray1351 it should read 'isn't pointing directly at the fish'*
@@Sonubaits thanks for the correction 🙂
Is my Preston X300 upto the job for fishing Andy’s method? Or do I need a dedicated margin pole?
More than up to the job - a dedicated Margin pole is only really required in the most serious of margin situations, very big fish or particularly snaggy pegs where a heavy elastic is required. Or, if you just don’t want to risk damaging a more expensive pole when there is no need due to fishing at short distance.
Thank you. Appreciate you getting back to me. Keep up the fantastic work and content.
Is the power scopex a fishmeal based groundbait or more pellet based?
Pellet based. Similar to Supercrush Expander but with some other crushed pellets and Power Scopex flavour.
I’m sure the guy who invented the toss pot was having a laugh to see if you’d notice
Later in the day would you big pot , then go on it later with the small pot each bite
Gona get some pellets now
Is micros … is micros😂
Great stuff but how come you are the only angler that never misses a bite, yet has plenty of liners?🤣
Cheekyy
Well you can Andy stop eating bake beens.
