Most of the canal matches i fish, fishmeal isn't allowed. So i use totally different mixes. I explain which groundbaits i use on some of my canal match videos, take a look👍
fantastic footage great to watch and listen to your ideas and changes during the match .can ask on the 4x16 rig how many number 8s did you use and why not use 10s .,hope you don"t mind me asking questions .
Thanks for the nice comments mate🙂 There's 8×no.8 stotz on the 4×16 rig plus a small trimmer above these. I tend to use bigger weights on bigger rigs as they're usually for deeper water. Plus later in the day i double bulked this rig to show the lift bites better. No.8s are perfect for this method.
Well done dave superb sport ....im surprised you didnt get some of the hybrids and huge rudd that are in that pool ......i fish it regular and the hybrids go 2lb plus and some of the rudd are over a 1.5lb average is 6-8oz

I did have a few hybrids, biggest was probably 6oz. Never saw a single rudd though!
Once we get some warmer weather be intresting see wot a silver match would be like ......
The carp will switch on when it warms up and keep disrupting the silvers!
