Coal is a valuable commodity, untraceable and in high demand. In South Africa, thousands of coal trucks criss-cross the country, transporting it to lucrative export markets. But the stakes are even higher on the illicit market. Criminal syndicates target the coal industry, brazenly stealing thousands of tons from coal trucks. Their methods are evolving to feed the black market and evade seemingly ineffective law enforcement. In one of our biggest stings yet, the Carte Blanche team infiltrates the illegal black market to show you first-hand how stolen coal is traded.

Y'all made your sting a little bit too obvious - I would have smelled a rat too, no wonder the sale fell through.

As lame as the sting operation is if Terrance & Steven was black they would have been dealt with after the first episode. We have a serious problem of selective prosecution in South Africa. Do a special about a black man whom was sentenced to 135 years for stealing 11 million vs a white women sentenced for 11 years for stealing 500 million.

This episode is dodge , at the end , suddenly a payment was made , and the trail cold ? Nor nooor, fabricated facts , edited proof of payment. Carte Blanche is better then that, from R36k to R12k payment nor , it's more like a reenactment. That's just my opinion
