In this the egg is bought by bakery shop for further production, and finally the output that is the cake gets ready. Now for the bakery shop, intermediate consumption is the price of egg, and value output is the price of cake. Henceforth, the value added by the baker is Value Output -Intermediate Consumption. So it can be said that in value added method the calculation of Gross Value added is made in each production phase.
