I have to restrain myself from using force lightning because it’s so comically overpowered that it makes the game too easy. The traditional lightsaber combat is the real meat of the game for me, although the force powers are great too.
I've actually found that the lightning is kinda useless against enemies with a saber, but it's good for killing the sith pairs, you kill the guy without the saber first and usually a saber throw will kill the guy with the saber. The hardest enemies are for sure, 100% the reborn masters (such as the one on korriban and the ones on Taspir 3.) in grey robes. They can use all the force powers and I've found that they're even harder than the bosses themselves. I'd really like to see a version of the game where kyle needs to destroy the scepter and get Jaden back.
I hate to admit how much I’ve abused the force grip to avoid a risky lightsaber duel. I’ve already beat the campaign twice in the last couple weeks, but still my lightsaber skills are as mediocre as they come, a lot of button mashing.

Im gonna bring some negativity in (sorry). Its just a game/movie, I know. But the principle is the same. Saying something like "may the force be with you" is similar to saying "I will pray for you" or "you need only to believe, and it will get better". Its a very harmful concept in our culture. Because instead of working your ass of to solve the problem, you are expected to "believe hard enough" and it will solve by its self. Identify the problem and work on the solution instead of believing. It there are many homeless, go do charity and spend the money on housing porjects. Or take a weekend job, if you have a family member who is in dept because of sudden medical bills. DO IT! DONT BELIEVE IT! The root of evil of most of our problems is that we waste to much time on believe systems, mostly religion, instead of solving the problem.

Best gameplay of all time. There is an absolute 360 degrees of freedom when swinging that lightsaber unlike modern games like Jedi Fallen Order where you basically can tell that the way you move is predetermined to happen in a certain way.
Fallen Order was pure disappointment for me. I expected something like jedi outcast or academy gameplay wise, instead i brought cheap dark souls system.
I long for another Star Wars game with more depth to the combat that isn’t just hack and slash. Unfortunately, it seems like we’ll just keep getting the same Dark Souls inspired third person adventure games over and over again.
Nah I would tear people up with a mix of medium/fast stance and they would get pissed lol even those using strong stance and making they’re mouse sensitive speed faster

FUN FACT: at 1:43:25 if you don’t go through the mission and just keep killing the guys on the speeders, the game will just infinitely spawn more 😂😂 i’m sat here crying laughing over the amount of speeder imperials i’ve blasted to shreds by getting them to pile up on a corner. i’m telling you older games 1000% more fun than current games. just torrent n b happy 😈
I couldn’t figure out the speeder controls, so it would catch fire and I’d get run over after jumping off. I spent a good chunk of time waiting for the enemies to stop spawning.
I loved playing this game with my brother growing up. I liked the detail where if you have a double bladed saber and if when in a fight it gets cut in half it becomes 2 sabers. That was a nice touch!
been forever since I last played this game... I remember as a kid getting stuck on the sand worm part. (I just could not stay off the sand.. and would just always panic.. Thanks Tremor movie for making me paranoid that I have to stand on rocks.) ^_^
You missed most of the secret areas in this game, though you actually played all the missions. Not to mention that you didn't kill all the enemies and never got familiar with the surrounding i.e. you never shoot explosive crates or use thermal detonators to kill multiple enemies. But most important: the "adsorb" power is to be used in Jedi battle and saves you from pushes, pulls, grips, drains and so on. "protect" is to be used in normal combat and saves you from blasters, explosions and also the acid rain on Vjun. I was watching this video to look for some secret areas I missed, but I guess I found more than you! ^^
i played this classic on 2024 and it's one of the greatest star wars games along with the force unleashed , kotor 1 , lego the complete saga, lego the clone wars, lego the skywalker saga, jedi fallen order, battlefront 2 2005 and revenge of the sith

It was the one of last games where lightsaber "attacks" passively. Also scratching walls when running around with turned lighsaber on. Always try it in new games, but always disappointed, because they didn't had that detail.
Thank you for this. I was stuck on Dosuun because I couldn't figure out where to go next after you jump in the AT-ST. Then I seen in your video you blowing up the crates in front of the window to get inside that control room to unlock the upstairs door. So I guess that's how you get through those tough windows; you have to blow up the crates stacked in front of them, lol.
You know it's funny to this day there are still quite a few people who never realized that the style of lightsaber you use will determine both the deflection speed and vulnerability time as well as potentially what you can and can't deflect.
Not to mention the EXTREMELY special moves. Such as "flying" through the air with a Superman-like quality, and also the "running along walls" thing. Additionally, the dual sabers were pretty much invincible if you crouched and slashed in the correct way. Tons of fun if you modded empty maps, loaded them, spawned enemies in, saved, and played with max settings and insane groups of enemy saber freaks. 💪😎✌️ 🐲✨🐲✨🐲✨

I may be wrong but I could swear if you do all of the missions instead of only doing the ones that they make you do and not leaving the last ones I think your core powers themselves actually round out more as well. I've noticed my deflection with lightsabers seems to be better when I finish all the missions versus when I do most of them.
I remember when my cousin had an old pc and every time my family went over to their house we’d play this game. This was many many years ago. I was much younger so I didn’t rlly pay attention to the plot or anything else other than “when do i get to stab people”. I do remember how much fun this game was. And the look on my cousin’s face when I defeated that training droid in one blow at the start. He said it took him forever. Good times
Jedi Outcast was made in under a year. That’s a frighteningly marginal amount of time to turn out a combat system this robust, but they pulled it off which is truly amazing.
Not sure if you're playing on the same difficulty as me but I just cannot get past 4:40:00 the crouching move is not working for me. I accidentally beat the level by using lightning while she was in the air, it knocked her backwards and into the lava pit
Be careful if you've never experienced it I'm not sure if it translates over to the player character but enemies who use rage have lower defenses when they come out of it but they also have higher force resistance for a bit after.

I love this game. So much room to grow, so much chance to play creatively. Your gameplay left alot to be desired though. Walking directly into every enemy and missing half the time. Though I am glad to see another light side follower.

For everyone that gets this bug, You need to Have rosh's hp as high as You can bcs aparently he gets damaged a Little by the jump, so If his hp is too low, he will die
While I love how Kyle, already a Veteran EU character goes on to appear in future novels years later. Jaden himself appears decades later and is the main character in a couple novels. Rosh? He was pretty much forgotten and we neveeer saw him again. Poor little loser.

If you want pure power, go for a saber staff. Dual sabers are a little difficult to control, especially if you’re a beginner. If you’re used to single saber combat, I would strongly recommend sticking with it and see how you get on. If you change your mind, there is a cheat code that can grant you any saber you want.
Someone modded this with new force powers & game mechanics. A bit buggy, but still cool. You can freeze people like Kylo Ren & the enemies are more varied. You can also costumise your lightsaber more, like the saber colours using RGB sliders & reverse saber (Ahsoka style).
I hate Kril'dor and Dosuun missions. Kril'dor is long and boring while Dosuun is just difficult and hard to manage my health against the boss there. Unfortunately, I cannot skip both of those missions, I can only skip one mission by visiting the academy earlier.
Krildor does drag a little bit due to the series of objectives you have to complete, making it more involved than most missions. Dosuun strips you of your lightsaber, which automatically makes it an inferior mission for me. I certainly don’t dislike any of them though. There are levels in Outcast that are much more dull in both design and pacing.
Good old memories. You could abuse the grip force in this game to thow your enemies off the cliffs.

I think after the sandcrawler entered the area the path is blocked, you can see the boulder which blocked the path behind the sandcrawler.

Would you recommend duel light sabers once you get to Chandrilla or the double sided?? I need help
If you want pure power, go for a saber staff. Dual sabers are a little difficult to control, especially if you’re a beginner. If you’re used to single saber combat, I would strongly recommend sticking with it and see how you get on. If you change your mind, there is a cheat code that can grant you any saber you want.

Someone modded this with new force powers & game mechanics. A bit buggy, but still cool. You can freeze people like Kylo Ren & the enemies are more varied. You can also costumise your lightsaber more, like the saber colours using RGB sliders & reverse saber (Ahsoka style).
Yeah, the mods for this game have gotten insane over the years. It's great.

I hate Kril'dor and Dosuun missions. Kril'dor is long and boring while Dosuun is just difficult and hard to manage my health against the boss there. Unfortunately, I cannot skip both of those missions, I can only skip one mission by visiting the academy earlier.
Krildor does drag a little bit due to the series of objectives you have to complete, making it more involved than most missions. Dosuun strips you of your lightsaber, which automatically makes it an inferior mission for me. I certainly don’t dislike any of them though. There are levels in Outcast that are much more dull in both design and pacing.
