Thanks for these videos. As someone who is always learning new things in Massive I find the best thing about these videos is when you comment on the musical effect of altering a certain wavetable or parameter. Good job sir.
Very informative. Finally got the answers I was looking for. Before your tutorial, I was just casually playing with the Mod Osc and hoping for the best, but now I will be using it more purposefully. Keep up the great work.
Nice one! Great to hear you got a lot from the tutorial. Like you I used to use the mod osc casually, and mostly just the phase mod, but fully understanding the different modes and sound design capabilities makes this a much more powerful tool.
After watching your video, I was amazed to see how useful it was in transforming even the stock sounds. The ring mode adds sparkle, the phase mode adds edge, and the position mode adds that drifting PWM-style tuning, just to note some of what I observed. Keep making videos that like this that go beyond the "how"s into the "why"s. Thanks again.
never thought to detune the mod osc! the more I use Massive the more I love it. its crazy how much potential is left in this synth even years and years after its been out. great vid as always Johnny
I now what you're saying there! I'm still discovering new techniques for designing sounds with Massive all the time, I think the enhanced modulation capabilities leave so much scope for creativity.
dunno if you guys gives a shit but if you are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch pretty much all of the new movies on instaflixxer. Have been streaming with my gf these days xD
***** Thanks for the good feedback guys, really appreciate it! It'd be interesting to know what sort of stuff you'd like to see covered on Massive in future tutorials?

Yeah it's amazing the potential of some of those modes, especially when combined with the pitch/detuning of the mod osc.
